What subject (s) did you teach? That’s true. But for a real basketball guy, it’s not totally surprising he might miss coaching. As a teacher, I had an administrative position for a little bit. It was super easy and paid more. But I missed teaching and went back.
McCollum or Byington would be disappointing hiresFully agree with your last sentence. Probably the rest, too. Just don't get too jacked on anything Trilly "predicts".
If I'm betting my own money...I probably put the highest odds on Dusty May, at this point. With a guy like Mark Byington in there as well.
I'd probably hire McCollum, if I were doing it, and Stevens wasn't an option. But I can understand everyone's concerns with him.
Yep you should. Lots of smoke though.Hold on...I've got an X account too. I'm going to confirm this, and make it official.
The next tweet will be new prospective Celtics owners have just agreed to make Brad Stevens minority owner.
Wasn't it speculated that Rabjohns was Trilly's source and Rabjohns (as has been proven) has absolutely no sources in the program now that Fife is gone?Trilly doesn't have a great track record of being right on decisions that aren't pretty obvious. He makes a lot of them, and seems like he's "in the know", but he misses on enough of them, that I really don't pay attention to him any more. I think really anyone with a cell phone, some creativity, and an X account could do what he does.
Hope he's right on this one though, obviously!!
This is only plausible reason, he wants to coach. Recruiting has changed dramatically with the NIL, specifically different at IU because of the available funds. Maybe he wants to teach again. That’s true. But for a real basketball guy, it’s not totally surprising he might miss coaching. As a teacher, I had an administrative position for a little bit. This is the most likely scenario. So go get May!It's gotta be getting close to the time where Stevens announces that he's flattered and that he has find memories of growing up in Indiana and watching Bob Knight and his teams.
NB making a comeback. Might have to change that saying soon…Sounds like a nice community for the new balance crowd we have around here. Sorry about grandma by the way.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
Don't walk the dog too close to the lake. Chomp! Chomp! My grandmother just passed a few months back. Her home is for sale in Punta Gorda! Asking somewhere in the $400-$450k range! Nice lake in backyard. The only problem in that area is too many old people and everything closes around 5pm!
Second, third and fourth grades. What subject (s) did you teach?
Them pet gators need to eat too! I’d be more worried about them giant 🕷️ in that area!Don't walk the dog too close to the lake. Chomp! Chomp!
You mean palmetto bugs? They're gross but they won't eat you.Them pet gators need to eat too! I’d be more worried about them giant 🕷️ in that area!
Them giant spiders! Especially brown recluses. One bigger than my hand actually killed my brothers friend a long time ago down in Clearwater. Venom caused him to get a heart attack. You mean palmetto bugs? They're gross but they won't eat you.
That's the obvious concern with a guy like McCollum, for sure.

Can someone contact him and see if this is true? That was Fepaugh 😂 😂
Well...there are other potential reasons......parents are probably in their 70s and live in Indy. Dad played football at IU and Brad grew up an IU fan. Brad presumably has many contacts personal and professional from his Butler days. Son is a true freshman basketball player at ND who could transfer to Bloomington
I’ll believe it when I see it.
But why did she veto? Because the kids were established in schools and they didn't want to uproot them? I don't know how many they have or their ages, but obviously one of them is off to college now. It wasn't necessarily a location issue for her (or maybe it was?), it may well have been a timing issue.Wife would seem to be the biggest reason not to. Although she went to DePauw she's originally from northern Ohio and reportedly vetoed the move last time............

No it was before Archie.I think the Fepaugh exclamation of "BD is shopping for horse farms around Bloomington" was when we hired Archie Miller. To be fair, I had heard a lot of noise about BD that go around, from some people in the New Albany area. One of them had a friend who was working in the U of L AD and claimed to know some things. Supposedly it came down to the fact that BD wanted to finish out the NBA season and our Fred Glass didn't want to wait, so Archie was the guy. I think BD had a playoff team with Oladipo and maybe Westbrook but KD was gone then.
Decourcy made that prediction on Coyle's cast yesterday. If no extension for Dusty by the tourney, something's cooking. UM doesn't want that distraction in Indy for the tourney. If we don't hear about a contract extension/raise from UM by tournament time...
Some say they were talking numbers and Steve Fergison did something that she didn’t like. I don’t know what that was.But why did she veto? I had Brad Stevens at 10-15% chance a couple weeks ago. There is a little more smoke so I've moved it up to 35-40% chance. If he doesn't issue a statement of some sort by Sunday that he is NOT INTERESTED AND QUIT FRIGGIN' ASKING ME then I bump it up to 50% chance he's the next coach. What NO ONE on this board knows, tho, if he 100% will or 100% won't be the next coach. Maybe the current position he's in now isn't doing it for him and he needs a little more "juice" that can only be obtained by coaching. Maybe he would like to coach his son. Maybe he misses coaching and wants to coach at IU. Maybe he feels like he has "reached the pinnacle" by winning a Championship and that there is not much more to accomplish. Maybe he wants to become a partial owner of an NBA team and has no intention of coaching anywhere in any way, shape or form. Time will tell.
