Someone must have started spreading that rumor again. I refuse to get my hopes up this time.

It might have been good old Dakich. He has me blocked but I saw someone responding to him.

Been trending for me since I looked last night. Pretty even mix of IU and Boston related stuff earlier today. Yesterday was the 3 year anniversary of the Derrick White trade.

Stevens would be a horrible choice. He has been away from the college game for 12 years. The game is much different when he left especially with NLI money involved. Why come back to the college game and have to suck ass to a bunch of teenagers that you have to beg to give you effort when you can stay where players are contractual bound and without performance they can be cut?

Either way, he is not coming to IU.

Brads wife has a say in this decision! And that would be a big No!

Are you telling me he doesn't have to suck ass to guys like Tatum, Brown. and Porzingas?

Reasons why I could see him doing it:

-Of anything else he could do, returning Indiana to national prominence is probably the most impactful thing for his legacy.
-Maybe some sort of pull to change college bball for the better. Taking his NBA GM mindset, applying it to coaching and managing a college program
-Maybe have his son transfer and walk on at IU
-Maybe he misses coaching college basketball
-He has family in Indiana
-Coaching at IU was something he talked about being aspirational for him at one point

Reasons why I could see him not doing it, or even considering it:

-He's making roughly 11 million per year, without the stress of coaching
-Maybe he and his family love New England more than they miss "home"
-He still has a daughter in high school
-He's a decade removed from coaching college
-Maybe he has no interest in dealing with NIL/Portal dynamics
-the risk of failing, and tarnishing he legacy

When thinking through them, as logically as possible, the scales start to tip heavily in favor of him staying with the Celtics.

Does he have kids at IU? I saw something about that on Twitter right before something about a laptop somebody had in their possession.
Boston is one of the worst places in the US to live.

He has a kid playing at Notre Dame.

Yeah I saw a tweet from someone allegedly with Boston organization saying that he was listening and supposedly has a meeting All Star weekend with IU. Could be total catfish.

You could be the only person on the planet that thinks BS would be a bad choice. All the other things you list are reasons he might not want to do it, not why he’d be a bad choice. Well, this does prove one thing. There is absolutely no one we can pick that will make everyone happy.

Did you just call me an asshole?
No. I was just down there for a week to see my sweet non asshole Granny. Port Charlotte, Sarasota, Punta Gorda Fort Myers, and Marco Island were all the stops. I wanted to sign off on my kids and quit my job by the time I had to had back up here. It was absolutely perfect the whole week.

How did you like the 10 minute stop 🛑 lights?

All of our fav places and we want to relocate there but real estate down there has gone off the rails and insurance as well. And traffic due to the growth is getting very bad.
