I understand the guy is an SEC shill but in this article he singles out Indiana as a team that would be under .500 in the SEC. Did Cig piss in his wheaties or something. Indiana still gets the most hate out of all the CFP teams. Cig has plenty of bulletin board material for the team this year.

I think most of it is due to how fast CCC turned this thing around.
It obviously caught everyone (including me) by surprise.
As far as our SOS last year,IU had no control over it.
Yeah the out of conference teams were weak but we played the defending National Champs and the runner up.
It just so happened that both of those teams were gutted by graduation and transfers.
We were just an easy target for the so called experts to pick on,that will change if we have a couple more years like last year.
I never read anything that hack writes,it’ll just piss me off.

After 40 years of being a diehard Indiana football fan, Paul's opinion means ZERO to me. What holds water for me is the job Curt Cignetti is doing and how he's continually improving the program.

To build a consistent winner that has higher goals than just being 6-6/beating Purdue, is exactly what Cignetti is doing. He has won big at every school and he just took Indiana to the CFP producing an 11-1 regular season record.

This year has a chance to actually duplicate last year's success. To shut the mouth of the south up, Indiana will obviously need to win 9+ games and I think they'll accomplish that.

I don't know why an IU fan would let him get inside their head in the first place...

I'd never heard of him until the last game or two of the season. When it comes to college football he's as parochial as they come.

Lives in Birmingham. Went to Tennessee. Treated here like Dan Dakich i.e., no value.

Basically, an ESPN hack doing their national dirty work because SEC and ESPN are now dealing the loss of CFP control. Two B1G back-to-back. Got to be a villain, right? Indiana is the new kid. Easy to pick on the new kid. Better get used to us.

Any future B1G who goes 11-1 will be in. No further discussion. We got plenty of $$ and a guy who knows how to spend it.

Otherwise, SEC has to understand now that everyone can pay players, they don't have the $$ to own it anymore. South is poor. B1G country is not. Simple economics really. All about money. Go Hoosiers.

Nobody I've ever talked to thinks much of him around here. He went to Tennessee as I stated earlier. LMAO

Much like the size of the universe, I am certain my mind will never be able to fully comprehend what the hell happened last season. That season was so far beyond what I thought was truly possible for us, let alone in year one.....it was beyond the best case scenario and I still can't quite wrap my head around it. I just found myself giggling in the 3rd quarter of games at the audacity of us running up scores on teams like Nebraska and Washington. Out of body experience is the only way to describe it.

If You had Finebaum draw a map of the United States, the areas South of New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia would represent 75% of the Map, and He would draw the Mason Dixon line somewhere in the middle of Michigan.

I was roughly the only IU fan in a sea of Sparty watching IU kick their ass: total bizarro world.

It’s his schtick and character he plays in the world of CFB media. It gets him a lot of attention vs being another guy who does serious analysis. Can’t say I care about him much I don’t find him entertaining.
Oh, he is entertaining, not as much as a bunch of clowns in a car but close.

If he ever gets any coaching experience under his belt or knows anything about coaching, then he might be capable of making a decent point. Another “sports person” wanna be. Joke.

He didn't look at TN v OSU and used IU as a way to take the loss for TN. He doesn't want to look at what B1G did to SEC teams in the Bowls where SEC got crushed.
The Big Ten is going to start taking over the SEC. Too many SEC people have the frame of mind that it’s always been that way in football. Welcome to the new college football bitches(SEC)

You're the kind of guy who thinks that because you do it then everyone else has to too or they don't know anything.... You crack me up.
I’m the kind of guy that is aware of the surroundings and media landscape of the hobbies I follow, especially of those that are the most well known. I’d wager 99% of the people that post here are well aware of Paul Finebaum.

I said 2023 or earlier. We haven’t been on ESPN the past two years.
And you want to argue that 99% of those on this board must watch ESPN and know Paul F. Why would we need to go to ESPN if the IU games aren’t on there?
Keep up with your cheesy comments. Some of the other board members enjoy it too. That’s what the board is here for. All thoughts count.

So. Good for you.
Being so well informed about things that really don't have any effective on your life is important... to you.

Yeah, I mean you’re a Johnny come lately to following football. Better late than never, in most cases

Don’t you claim to have had a career in sports either in journalism or tv?
No "claim", fact. There are at least two others on this site who can attest to it.. and a long and prosperous one, too.

That's got nothing to do with having to follow PF to know anything about college football... he's not unique.... there are hundreds of sources to follow.
