Never understood why the NCAA bball game is on Monday at 9:30 on TBS.
Here is a solution: make the F4 location the same for men's and women's.
Championship games: The women play on Sunday at 3:30, the men play at 6:30.
You know why the super bowl has really good viewership? Anyone? B/c it does not start at 9:30 on Monday, on a channel i didn't know still existed.

College basketball is a niche sport anymore. The days of pulling 20 million viewers is long gone.

cable tv used to be $6.95 mo for 41 channels including ESPN and TBS.

and there was 24 hr customer service that was local and staffed locally, (by people who actually spoke English), and you had local govt backup.

that was before Pubs, then Dems as well, saved us all from that nasty "over regulation" propaganda BS.

if you think this isn't 100% relevant to this thread, you couldn't be anymore wrong.

it literally couldn't be anymore relevant, and is precisely why you pay $100 plus to $200 plus for pay tv and internet now instead of more like $50 for both, why your customer service is at a national or offshore call center, where even if you are lucky enough to get someone who speaks English, you still probably don't get your problem resolved without literally going to war and putting in a couple hrs of your time, where forcing you into a 2 yr contract for what should be classified as a public utility, and where you're now SOL and still stuck in a contract if your local NFL team affiliate pulls access to their channel, then blames the pay tv provider, would be unheard of and never would fly.

and where your internet and pay tv company didn't also outright own or effectively control all the mainstream news media, thus your politicians, thus your laws, thus your healthcare costs, thus your drug prices, thus Fed policy, thus bank regs, thus anti trust and the monopolization behind today's monopoly driven "inflation", as well.

I watched the first half and then went to bed because I have to get up at 5:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.

All those late evening starting times are geared to help gain the most TV audience possible. That's why it doesn't begin until after 9 p.m. Eastern time so it is after 6 p.m. on the west coast.

Sounds like a Chris "Maddog" Russo rant....

if you think the NCAA champ game was buried, that's nothing compared with the fact Tiger will be walking off 18 tomorrow just as the tv coverage starts.

idiocracy.

The funny thing about the 9:30 start this year is that fan support would be expected to ‘rock’ bottom west of the Rocky Mountains, for Jayhawk Tarheel matchup.

It alternates every year between CBS and TNT. Next year, it'll be on national, free television.
