who is the fastest player you ever seen with the ball

was complaining about ius lack of speed last night, at the bar, and some old guy started mentioning the quickest players he ever saw. stated talking about david rivers from notre dame in mythical terms about his end-to-end speed. I vaguely remember him don't recall him being that special. I do recall UCLA having a guard named rob foster who was fast as hell
Rivers was a great player, but I don't remember him being lightning quick, just incredibly acrobatic. He was a star just as MJ burst onto the NBA scene and they were similar in the paint, throwing up some unbelievable shots.

The fastest players I can recall are Iverson, Rose and Ja Morant.

When Rose retired, several interviews started circulating about prime DRose, guys would pretend to be hurt when they played the Bulls. Jamal Crawford called him a "world class track athlete in basketball form". Unfortunately all that speed and power became his downfall.

Antwaan!!!!

Definitely Earl Calloway and Yogi and Isiah.
Also in the Big Ten...
Tim Frazier, Penn State
Eric Snow, MSU
Kiwayne Garris, Illinois
previously mentioned Dee Brown, Illinois

Then outside the Big Ten, gotta agree on Allen Iverson.
Also Stephon Marbury. Chris Paul. Jay Williams. Mookie Blaylock. Kenny Anderson. Kerry Kittles and Rip Hamilton were super fast.
Kentucky guards... John Wall. Wayne Turner. Rajon Rondo.
Muggsy Bogues.
Jameer Nelson from St. Joseph that one season.
Nick the quick Van Exel. Cincy.
Rod Strickland, DePaul

You gotta have Aaron Craft in there for his fast hands....

Lots of fast/quick guys.

Allen Iverson was very fast with the ball.

Latrell Sprewell. Maybe he was just running away after choking the coach.

Isiah
The Pan Am team played an exhibition game at Assembly Hall before heading down to Puerto Rico in 1978.
Isiah had NOT started college yet. He made a move at the top of the key on Quinn (the 2nd greatest defensive guard at IU after Bobby Wilkerson) and had the ball through the hoop before Quinn was able to turn around and see the score.
I was there too. Quinn was also showing incredible horizontal quickness guarding Zeek. Zeek was so skinny then, but lightening!

AI Alan Iverson. He was a jet on the court. He was also a tremendous high school football player, I believe playing QB.

John wall and DeAaron Fox.

Ja Morant is pretty darn fast with the ball, Tony Parker, and Steve Nash were very fast back in the day. Parker ran faster than Wall. I dunno about either the ball but overall he beat his time of 4.35. Ty Lawson was another, Irving was fast in his prime too. An under the radar guy is Leandro Barbosa. His nickname was the Brazilian Blur.

Anderson High School had a kid named Eric Bush in the late 90’s that could really fly. I think he may have ended up at UAB??
