Where do you stand on capital punishment?

I saw Jeremy Clarkson wrote a column critical of the US stance on capital punishment. He is considered fairly far right in the UK. Here is his quote, "Because let's face it, a state should not be entrusted with the power of life and death when it can't even mend potholes."

People that commit heinous acts don’t deserve to live. So how do we reconcile that concept with removal of capital punishment?

Of course it doesn't. But it gives guys like JDB and DANC wood, so there's that.

It gives me hope that justice is real. Karma isn’t quick or frequent enough.

The contrary is to let family members of victims do whatever they want with no criminal liability.
