As soon as Vlad Golden goes above him, you may have a case.He is fat and lazy
Dumb take.Plenty of tape from his time at Gonzaga and Arizona. He was the 2024 prize of the portal. He made more than $1 million a year plus full scholarship. And didn’t even make it to the top 100 draft recruits.
Thoughts on what went wrong?

Thanks for the insight Hubie..Nothing went wrong he was never going to be drafted.
It didn’t matter if his coach was Self, Izzo or Hurley. Enough with the Woodson pot shots for no reason. He had the wrong coach and was born 30 years too late. Same thing with Kofi Cockburn. The NBA just doesn't want physical big men. They want the lane open so they can drive or open up the three for other shooters.
No.. Enough with the Woodson pot shots for no reason.
That’s what I thought, if he was born 30 years too late, it doesn’t matter who his coach is 30 years later. It didn’t matter if his coach was Self, Izzo or Hurley. Enough with the Woodson pot shots for no reason.
He’s right. He does not have a game suited for the league. Not in c/y 2025. Too slow, can’t shoot. Thanks for the insight Hubie..
Yea. Given his limited pro prospects, going for the cash grab last year made a lot of sense and I mind it at all — make hay while the sun shines. He’s right. He does not have a game suited for the league. Not in c/y 2025. Too slow, can’t shoot.
And his stop in Btown was just a cash grab. Did nothing to improve his chances in the NBA.
Braden...Braden Smith, is that you disguised as Tammany Hall lending your sage advice?Yea. Given his limited pro prospects, going for the cash grab last year made a lot of sense and I mind it at all — make hay while the sun shines.
Nope. One of the few dudes that battled every night. His game was never going to translate to the NBA. And he played on poorly coached IU team.He is fat and lazy
Poorly coached, poorly constructed.Nope. One of the few dudes that battled every night. His game was never going to translate to the NBA. And he played on poorly coached IU team.
Jason Drake--Cleveland State to JuCo to Drexel to IUHe was a decent college rebounder. He's not getting drafted for that. My hope is we aren't taking 2-time transfers anymore unless they're working up from a JC start.
This year's a pass, but even so not all who are leaving other P5 programs. Wasn't a fan of Woodson's free agency system.Jason Drake--Cleveland State to JuCo to Drexel to IU
Wilkerson--JuCo to SHSU to IU
Alexis--Chattanooga to Florida to IU
Enright--Drake to DePaul to IU
Conerway--Grayson College to Ranger College to Troy to IU
DeVries--Drake to WV to IU
We have a LOT of 2/3 Time transfers on the roster this year!!
Well at the end of the day we have to put a team on the floor. Why is that again?
Yep. And almost all these moves are pretty logical. It's really no different that someone who works in some typical profession like accounting, marketing, or law who starts at a small firm/company and eventually moves to a larger one.Jason Drake--Cleveland State to JuCo to Drexel to IU

Well, now that we know the names of the players who have never played together, initial overzealous expectations need to be curtailed a bit, hence several preseason predictions of 12th place BIG finishes by those who prognosticate. Why is that again?
I guess I don’t understand why that would be. This is a new era. Teams are built in a year, even by new coaches. Our coach decided to wipe the board clean, and bring in all new players. These aren’t freshman. They are veteran players that are almost entirely in their final season. After this coming season we will flip the roster over, go out and get another team.Otherwise, the season will be given the courtesy of IU’s usual “new coach” pass.
not many 54-year-olds in the NBAHe had the wrong coach and was born 30 years too late. Same thing with Kofi Cockburn. The NBA just doesn't want physical big men. They want the lane open so they can drive or open up the three for other shooters.
Well, like Matt Painter (the bitch’s son) complained to the national media, IU fans have got to learn to give our coaches a chance. Instead of the “cradle of college coaches” IU is the “merry-go-round of coaches.” Sooner or later we just gotta lie in the dirt we cultivated, praying for a late-bloomer, staying with it until fruit is on the flower.I guess I don’t understand why that would be. I’m not talking about predictions for next season. I’m talking about expectations. We didn’t make a coaching move to be a bubble team. This isn’t 1999. No longer do you need four years to evaluate a coach.
As far as I’m concerned the clock is already ticking.
