in your point of view at all and during games I am pretty much yelling the same things you are saying on here about CTC. I just don't like saying we are settling for mediocrity because we still back the team and want this team to do well because I can assure I am not happy being average.

if you do then you are still supporting the team. I have more respect for fan bases who follow their teams through the good and bad times than fans who only show up when the team is winning.

The fact that people are complaining so loudly is evidence that they still care and want the team to do well. If they didn't, they'd just go away.

We have a big problem with homer fans similar to Cubs fans when the tribune owned the team they will cheer for the glory of old IU as it goes into the toilet.

I would rather back my team even during the tough times than being a fair weather fan and only back the team when they win. Just because you back the team does not mean you are totally happy with the program.

Very few

If it is not Marshall or Stevens then there is not much out there that would be considered a home run hire. If you actually think we could get a coach K,Self,Pitino,Calapari(which I would not want),Donovan then you are very delusional. At this time I would not see a Miller from UA or Bennett from UVA leaving their current jobs to take the IU job.

Don't be so quick to discount Bennet, but if you frequent monday chat rabs had an interesting tidbit regarding TB. Nothing concrete. and I'm not saying he is campaigning for the job

Until this year

I was not that high on him but this is two years in a row that he has his team at the top without great players. I thought I heard that he had a problem with IU with how they handled his sister when she was the women's head coach here.

I think his offense

is improving this year because at WSU and the early years at UVA his offense was pretty painful to watch. He is a very good defensive coach and that is what we we really need. Also I always thought that once Ryan left UW that Bennett was probably going to be his replacement

His offenses are behind his defenses, but his offenses improved each year he has coached, except for one year at WSU...he builds his offense slowly

Knowing the IU admin...

....they'd probably fire him and then turn around and hire another lawyer. Because, after all, it has worked out SO WELL for us every other time we've tried it.

Glass does need to be fired though. Both top-line programs are in disarray, revenues are down, and more importantly he is losing the younger generation of fan. Gimmicks don't attract new fans, winning does.
