I have never had a good feel for how much to expect a player to improve from their first year of seeing action to their second year. We hear it all the time that the college game is faster and it takes time to get used to the speed, that frosh don't tend to understand the plays/scheme as well as they should, often don't have necessary strength, etc. With all that and more, how much should we expect hi potential frosh who played last year but didn't live up to some lofty expectations (like maybe Booth, Fuchs, Cobbs) improve this year? How much improvement should we expect from Fant & Padmore who are entering their 2nd year of playing time after red shirting? I know people (and positions) are different, but just curious if some of you know of some general rules of thumb on improvement expectations.
