I have to question myself at this point. I'm finding myself rooting for the opposition. We couldn't look much worse. IU looks like they're playing pick-up.
2 hours of my life I can't get back
I think 2 things can be acknowledged about todays game…
1) Chattanooga isn’t a terrible mid major team.
2)We aren’t an NCAA tournament level team right now.
It stinks when I enjoy watching nearly every team we play more than I do watching IU.
Only took CMW 2 minutes in the post interview to say it. "I got to get us over the hump".

I hate watching this team. The body language is terrible. Guys - mostly starters - laughing on the bench, still “flexing” after baskets, flipping up free throw attempts without any concentration on trying to make them, point guard throwing passes from midcourt off the backboard….
It looks to me like they have no respect for Woody and just want their bag of money. This isn’t all of the guys but definitely the ones that are probably making the most money!

I’m guessing it’s just white noise for most fans. It might even impress non IU fans. But I hope Dolson and others are getting as sick of it as us “toxic” fans are.
One of my biggest problems with Woodson is his teams are really hard for me to be excited about. I was so hopeful Rice and Carlyle and Ballo and Tucker and a sophomore Mack and maybe a healthy Newton, would change that. Nope, opposite effect actually. I’m at the point now where I’m literally forcing myself to watch them.
I’m happy with the effort considering.
Think about it— up late watching brothers give it their all in South Bend.
Coming off tough finals week with stay eligible exams in Interpretive Russian Dance, Organizational Leadership, Ikea Furniture Assembly etc.
Kept it together and got that win.
Another non-con, pay game dodge.

I would not have even known they were playing today if someone on the board had not mentioned it. I know I sound like a broken record but I just don’t care much anymore. The days of planning my week / day around a game are over. Now, it’s unusual if I even know we have a game and that’s usually made aware to me by coming to this message board. I went Christmas shopping with my daughter while the game was going and caught the last few minutes of the first half and wrapped present a during the 2H. I used to scream at the tv when we played poorly or cheered loudly when we made a good play. Today during the 2H when they were drilling threes and got our lead down to 4 and I think it was rice who launched a 3/4 court length pass off the backboard I didn't tell once. My boood pressure probably never rose above 120. Just have come to accept our level of crap of basketball as it’s the standard with Woodson coaching. No reason to expect or hope for more because it’s quite obvious what he is and is not capable of as a coach and his teams reflect it.

I just hate the lazy approach to offense. 7+ seconds to take the ball up the court. Ballo sits atop the key and waits for a cut or a “Princeton Offense” (not!) swirl above the key while everyone else watches. It’s a joke. Even I can coach against that!
If we take that crap on the road, we’ll get beat by St. Mary’s School of the Blind!

It is quite the conundrum. The only way IU can rid themselves of this nonsense is to lose. But how can I not want this program to win. IU represents the state where I played HS ball before there was class basketball. I have listened to every game on the radio or watched on television since Bellamy and Rayl. I solved the problem by not watching anymore. After Gonzaga I stopped. When they lose someone like me there is a major problem with the program. And not just with this coaching staff but other decision makers as well.
The one that damn near blew up the backboard from 70 ft away? That was interesting.
IU basketball is my favorite team in all of sports but my least favorite team to watch and I know that makes sense.
You don’t have to root for IU to lose. They will lose irrespective of what you do. No need to get invested.
That's why you record it and watch it when you want! Zip through the commercials, TOs. halftime and free throws.
You can watch a game in about 40 min. That way you don't waste as much time!
Uh, I didn't make it happen--coaches at AAU and high school games gave him that moniker. It's not like I'm the character from Mean Girls coming up with "fetch" and trying to make it a thing.
Calling him Mike Shittycoachson might be more fitting, but it's quite the tongue-twister ... and a bitch to text.
Having Woodson as the head basketball coach contributes nicely to IU's goal of making IU the mecca of women's volleyball.
