Closing time. IU last made FG was with 3:14 left and made the score 61-52. Since then, we have missed the front end of a one and one twice. Missed another free throw and made another. Also a couple turnovers. Score now 62-60. Woof!
IU trades free throws. Going to the line up 64-62. 22 seconds left. But free throws and likely win. Miss, well….
IU misses another feee throw and makes the other. Up 3 and fouls. 65-62. Sparty going to the line with 15 seconds left. Anyone believing IU wins?
Mgbacko hits both free throws. Up 65-62 with 13 seconds remaining. Sparty calls TO and will draw up a 3 to extend game. I guess IU fouls to minimize to 1 point game and go back to FT line to seal it.
IU fouls. Sparty hits both FT’s. IU with ball up 1 and 9 seconds left. Can they close and win it?

IU fouls. Sparty goes to line. Hits first and misses second. Leal going to the line up 2. Make both and win the game.
I hardly ever liked Izzo’s teams. For most the epitome of Big 10 ball. Keep it physical, keep it ugly, and bang. I will be glad when he is gone.
He certainly doesn’t have much less than he started with…
