Most stuff I've been seeing is giving IU little chance. Between getting manhandled by ND and the cold weather stifling our balanced offense many think ND will run all over us. Well the weather looks like it will be slightly better than it was for the Purdue game and we had zero issues scoring at will that night as I recall.

Yes, ND is far better then PU but the mistake these doubters are making is confusing this IU with the IU that lost a bazillion games over the last hundred years. This is Cigs IU and he's had 3 weeks to prepare. IU well be ready. I think we'll get out on top and force them to pass more than they want. If we limit TOs I really like our chances!

I like your plan to beat ND; I want our coaches and players to adjust ass the game goes on shutting ND and IU scoring with little trouble.

People just can’t grasp that this team is not our Mom and Dad’s IU.
Most of these ‘experts’ have most likely not seen many of our games.
They attribute it to the schedule and our performance at Ohio State.
Most of the guys had never been in a hostile environment like that and it showed.
You can tell them what it’s going to be like but they had to experience it first hand.
That Ohio State game experience will be beneficial Friday night.
Not predicting victory but I think we are going to see a highly motivated, well prepared team with a chip on their shoulders.
If we can win the turnover battle I think we win it.
The more the press talks about a blowout the better for us.
Notre Dame players are also reading all that stuff which also helps us.

I get where everyone's opinion is coming from and IU does better in this role. It's the perfect storm of ND feeling superior because they walked through most of their cake schedule that was inflated with games vs Army/Navy and IU looking inferior because of the optics of the OSU game. When in reality, I think we're very similar teams.

As long as we can navigate possible crowd noise to handle the snap count, I have little doubt we can move the ball at will as we have all season. If that happens and IU gets an early lead, ND doesn't have the option to be one dimensional passing the ball. It could quickly turn into a route, in our favor. ND fans and national pundits can't see that happening......good!

It’s a 7 pt line, not everyone is counting us out.
If I am being honest, I think most in the SEC and B1G look at ND for what they have historically been. Basically, a Penn State. Never really having a chance to win a title but because of their following, always this mythical belief that they should be able to. They have been second rate (if not worse) for quite some time.

If ND’s outside rush against Rourke is anything like OSU, we’re in trouble. But, hope as others mentioned above, will make necessary adjustments. For example, a few inside shovel passes as the rush is coming straight up the field, a few quick hitting tunnel screens.

It’s really not. They get coverage sacks. If our guys get open our o line will be ok.

We all know this, but this IU team has another plateau they must hurdle before they can be accepted. Even I have my doubts about IU being able to win “the big game.” Frankly, even ND has had its share of big game disappointments by not doing well in these playoff game matchups.

That's only about a 25% chance to win though, 3 to 1, pretty big line. I think, remember reading some implied probabilities. Maybe it's a higher winning chance in college, more volatility.
Yea, we are +230 to win, 30% implied chance.

Idk that seems fair. If someone thinks not, they should like the odds.
