starting with TJD. They had some open open threes that didn't go down, but for the most part we did not leave guys wide open.

JG has woken up. He has all the ability in the world, now he is using it to his advantage. Love him on the boards today 11 rebounds, 5 offensive. Just a must have for him to step up.

We win at IL and everything flips again, the season is long from over. Getting JG, Gallo, and a few others big game minutes now, and staying relevant will pay huge dividends when X and race come back.

I thought Galloway played really good D today. JHS and Galloway just put it on Davis and Hepburn. They had no room to pass or catch.

It's gotta be more than 1 game for JG. I am totally pulling for that kid to sustain and shine. Com'on Jordan, focus and flat out BALL !

This was the best Trayce has looked as far as mobility, quickness, extending on his shot .. since Xavier. Back must be loosening up a bit.

I think most of us had hoped your man crush had turned the corner. Doesn’t look too promising right now. 0-4 with several forces. You switching back to Geronimo now? 😂

Just kidding you. Don’t ban me. Damn glad to get a win.

I really noticed it on those baseline dunks. The explosiveness we haven’t seen in weeks. One of them was a highlight. He’s the quickest big this year. (When healthy) He has NBA explosiveness and quickness.

I didn't think they were "forces". I thought the shots he took were the normal, athletic, drive and contort into some way to get the ball up, plays that we see in the NBA.

He was dunking everything early in the year. The most noticeable thing was lack of extension on rim attempts. Well, one of them ... along with not running the floor, slow rotations, lack of spin moves ... etc.

They played hard and looked well coach, today. The last several weeks Jordan has looked lost and he doesn’t have a natural feel for basketball (I know he didn’t play much growing up). Today, was pretty much the opposite. He looked smooth, moved well laterally, and overall played great.

Every team needs a guy to do the dirty work.
I think JG woke up and is starting to realize that. Sure you need to be able to shoot outside, but getting a lot of buckets up close still count.
Played excellent defense today is a good confidence builder.
Whole team played well today.
Now on to Illinois.

I'm thinking, if JG got some more tat's, pierced his nipples, painted his nails, and went to a WWF wrastling match the night before a game... He could be our dawg ! C'mon Jordan!
OH, and work out world peace with north korea.

Yes. After the back tweak it was noticeably gone. He is key to this team and people say he’s soft. He’s obviously not. People are just silly. It’s funny watching everyone compare everything to the knight years. Screen this and pure shooter that.

TJD really wants it, he was dialed in today and gave it his all. This season is not close to over.

I hope it wasn’t just because the style Wisconsin plays. They don’t drive or move like most modern teams.

JG is perfect for that role. He is stronger than just about anyone, and with max effort he is just a physical handful. If he can get 8-10 rebounds and points a game, we are a different team.
I’m not sure I can ever see him being a double double machine consistently. Still too raw. But it would be a helluva good thing if he could. Even if he and Race could combine for 15 and 15, we’d have a good chance going forward.

Geronimo is terrible. You guys are getting your hopes up after a game against an undermatched opponent.

There were couple of forced shots. He wasn’t the only one forcing shots in first half.

Similar to the end of last year, this team is going to go off the pick and roll for Schifino and Trayce in the post. Everyone else will compete for the scraps. Especially until Race and X return. IU doesn’t have a consistent 3rd scoring option currently. The guys who play D, rebound, and don’t screw up will be on the floor at the end. Galloway for example.

Bates still has a lot work to do. 22 minutes 1 rebound, 0 points, 0 assists. Poor D. Galloway 19 minutes 5, 2, 8. If you watched the game you know who Woody had to have on the floor. Galloway and Schifino were playing well together.

Schifino’s mid-range game is a thing of beauty when he’s rolling. That’s what an NBA guard prospect looks like.

That is my observation as well. He was more mobile laterally and his ups were better.

Defense was back to what we expect with Woody. Duncomb gave some good defensive minutes as well.

Just need the guys to maintain the intensity game after game. That’s the hard part…

JG has always had the raw talent. If he is going to be successful, he’s got to go full bore like this every night. He made better decisions too.

Problem with Bates is if he is not scoring he usually does little else. Below average defender and poor handles for a guy his size. He sounds like a hard worker and solid young man, but not sure he ever becomes a consistent contributor.

I loved that they did not ever let up. That to me is as important as actually playing the good defense. They never allowed Wiscy to get back in it because they never stopped locking in on defense. Tip of the hat. On another note, it’s really awesome to see what’s become a damn good set of JHS going to his right dribbling off a screen and hitting a shot from 17’. I think he hit at least 3 of them in a row 2H. His confidence is building. I also notice how TJD goes to set the screen and quickly releases to go to the rim making defenders have to choose. It worked today. And it was great to see it. Let’s go!
