Walt Bell must have a good agent

if he ever runs out of football jobs he'd make a great salesman.
I'm glad he landed on his feet. He's a likeable guy and he and his wife had just had a baby right before he was cut loose...

Here's hoping he's learned his lesson about forcing his Offensive scheme to follow what he thinks it ought to be able to do rather than what it actually can do...

I was going to say that as long as he didn't have a 5'6" 160 lber to force feed the ball to he'd do well,....but......., the MAC is chock full of those guys so he's bound to find one...

Come to think of it, if he utilized that "munchin up thru the middle" approach in the MAC it just might work...(!), because the Defensive guys (on the line and at LB) are usually a half step slower than what we see in the Big Ten, which might actually allow his miniature speedster "Blast Play" up over the G to go for real yardage for a change...

Don't be surprised if he comes out of that job looking like some sort of "savant"... Of course when he moves back up to the bigs and tries that again someone will end up with the same results we had.

Guess John Schoop wasn’t available?? Maybe Bell has some connection to the WMU HC?
Otherwise, hard to believe based on the results of his last few stops, they would have looked at the tape and said “wow, this is our guy!!! We gotta have him!!”

Walt missed his calling. He should be teaching an advanced course for seniors at some school in “How to Ace the Interview” (with Little to no Results).
