So… all we have to do is beat a team that’s won like 8 in a row against us by a margin of about 100 points in a tournament we have basically never really had success in.

Oregon was already WAAAAAAAYYYY on the wrong side of the bubble (NET mid 70's, with only 4 quad 1 wins). Outside of getting to the champ game, I think their bubble had already burst a bit back.

Both MSU and Maryland made it last year going 9-11 in conference. MSU was two games over .500. I know Ohio State made it in 2019 going 8-12 in conference because they beat IU in an essential play in game in the BTT who also was 8-12 in the B10.
Conference record isn’t a metric the committee uses biggest conferences aren’t created equally nor are the schedules.
