Wade to NC St

No surprise, although I thought WVU might try for him. I'm sure he'll do well. Opens up MSU players to the portal I believe, so the pool of players DD can look into keeps growing.
I don't have any knowledge...haven't looked at their roster, but the guys on Sirius said McNeese is a very senior laden team.

Will Wade can definitely coach 'em up and run a high mid-major program (VCU) and has definitely put up big numbers at low-major McNeese but after his 25-5 season at LSU (his second season there) he went 21-10 and 19-10, 12-6 in the SEC both years before 22-11, 9-9 his last season there.

He's good, but I've seen a handful of people act like he's the second coming.

He is not the second coming but in regards to guys who we likely had an actual shot at landing he would have been in the top three on my list.

Let’s check back in four years and see who made the better hire- IU or NC State. Funny how many other Power Five programs have no problem hiring good coaches with some baggage.

Will Wade is a known asshole and would probably wear out his welcome with Indiana fans if his record matched LSU's after they made the Sweet Sixteen. His philosophies might give Hoosier fans a conniption too. Gamble for steals and don't shoot many 3s (though solidly converting the ones they do).

6 seniors, 3 of those super seniors. 62nd most experienced team per Torvik.

Hey I agree that he is a massive pri(k but I think he's a better coach than D-ROCK. I feel comfortable prognosticating that he will have more ncaa tournament wins after 3 years than the guy we outbid Iowa for. He's a top 4 coach in his league.

I would take that wager. I don't think Will Wade as a coach elevates NC State to what Indiana can offer with DeVries. I said this previously but I'll prognosticate we see a Sweet Sixteen in the time frame we gave Archie and Woodson.

Top 4 in the ACC rounds out as Brownell and... Andy Enfield? I would have been very upset with Brownell so I'd hope Wade would be top 4.

If you remember I promise to remember nichlee. I'll screeshot this. 50 bucks over 3 years seems like a good gentlemanly wager.

I realize that Wade's team just beat Clemson in the first round of the Tournament. But does anybody else have a problem with his move being announced the day before the game. I for one think it is unethical, morally wrong and tasteless. And that also goes to NC State for being complicit in having this become public knowledge. Wade can't do anything For NC State until his team is eliminated from the Tournament. Why couldn't They have held the announcement until then? Wade is darn lucky He didn't let the air out of the balloon and have his team come out and play like Clemson did in the first half.

McNeese knew when they hired him that he wasn't going to be there any longer than he had to be.
