Could be worse. Not like last years coaching openings.
 
I have very little interest in a Collins coaching hire. That's not a significant ceiling raising move, but maybe it raises the floor a little.
I'm not in love with idea, but I don't think too many coaches could take NW to the NCAAT three times in 12 years ... and win 50% of his games.

All that might seem "meh" on the surface, but CC's tenure at NW has been far more impressive than BB's at Clemson or Cronin's at UCLA, imo.

Compared to those two he's Pat Riley coaching Showtime.

If this happens, as in CCC to Villanova, hope whoever takes over here at IU, takes a long look or has some familiarity with Chris Lowrey’s defensive acumen. Collins’ fortunes really turned for the better when he brought in Lowrey as his defensive assistant after the ‘22 season, when he needed to win to save his job.

What if it is Brownell who brings in Lowrey? They both are EVV Harrison products.
