Vaccination Strategy and Therapeutics for those who have contracted the Virus

Thank What you wrote in your Post 9 immediately above is a lot different than the following that you wrote in Post 1: "I wanted to introduce these articles as a means to educate oneself."

To educate us, you offered articles about which you now admit you "have no clue"
Wrong interpretation. I read it again and can understand how it would be interpreted that way. I was attempting to say I have “no clue” about the media source as I do not read the Washington State or other media platform. Just found those articles online as alternate views /.perspectives. I found the part about Therapeutics very interesting. So much emphasis being placed on vaccines and avoiding getting the virus while so little discussion about the medicines being used to treat and mitigate the virus’s impact on those infected or hospitalized. With the high case count of re-infection and growing number of breakthrough cases of those who have been vaccinated,I found the information informative and interesting. Similarly, I found the viewpoints of the doctors in the Washington State article interesting as they spoke about vaccines and heard immunity. I am sure there are other articles dispelling them both, but that is part of what has been so challenging with this pandemic. We routinely hear absolutes from people of authority that later change their position. All of this leads to doubt and questioning said authority, regardless of who or what you believe.

Nah. After I read the well-poisoning paragraph, then saw lifesitenews.com, I knew what I would be getting into, especially when the second source is a newspaper founded by Sun Myung Moon. No need to press down if you burn your hand on the stove.
What's with these people and cults?

It's like every conman on the planet is jumping on the Trump grift and targeting the same type of people.

And it's no wonder they're called rubes... they're easy marks.

As I said to another poster, take it for whatever it’s worth.

Yep. My pharmacy also does Covid vaccines. Just walk in, no appointment necessary.
You can probably get them at Best Buy, too.

Coming to a school board or municipal office near you:

America has run out of patience with the anti vaxxers.

Difficult to understand the ignorance even in light of the bad politics they sold their souls to.
Tell me, what is it actually like in your world? Seriously, I have actual curiosity about people like you and just what life experiences caused you to be this way?

Courtsense has very strong feelings re vaccinations but kindly consider same within the context of his posting history - one of the board's most rational, sound voices who consistently ranked amongst the board's top three posters

Remains to be seen to me I will watch more. I got the shot but these maniacs and there are more than one piss me off. The ones basically wishing death on people making their own decison And especially saying decision is only based on political affiliation.
Not all are basing their decisions on politics. Some are just dumb. Some are irrationally afraid. And some are just like "You're not the boss of me."

As a speed reader, I do appreciate paragraphs as a way of respecting anyone who might read the material.

An essay of one paragraph is like seeing and trying to eat a plate of like but different foods all lumped together. Or like waking up to a snowstorm and dealing with all the walks and driveways which are covered and not knowing where to start.

Dude, not this shit again.

Get back to the StL. soccer board I showed you. ;)

(Now, if I can just find a StL Bar Association Soccer board...)

The Washington Times article is summed-up by the statement "We have nothing to fear but the virus itself."

The argument that vaccines will make things worse is pure conjecture and so far completely refuted by mounting evidence.

When I read the article was authored by someone involved in discovering rNA I was lured-in. Now I can say I have a pretty good idea why they're no longer employed in that work.

Thanks for providing your input. It seems to me that the vaccine has many similarities to the flu vaccine. It helps many from getting the virus and for those that do get infected, it reduces the symptoms. We also have developed great therapeutics to mitigate symptoms and accelerate wellness for anyone infected. All good things.
It’s difficult for me to envision a scenario in the near term where Covid is eliminated. By near term I mean in the next 12 months. I am also not sure it will ever go away. It begs the question, how is the end defined? I also believe that the longer this goes on, the more we will learn about it which, in my opinion, is why we see a lot of pivoting from the CDC and other figure heads on how to combat it. Unfortunately, when we have these authorities saying, for example, masks aren’t needed, then reversing it, then saying if your vaccinated you won’t get it and don’t have to wear a mask and then that’s reversed, it does not instill confidence for many and leads to doubt and questioning these authorities.

Overly kind.

Here is why I am adamant about getting the jabs.

Setting aside the obvious health and death issues for a moment.

I Hate...despise... wearing a mask
I hate...despise seeing kids wearing masks in school
I hate...despise hearing school kids taunting each other about masks or no masks based on their parents
I Love Indiana Basketball, Football, Baseball, concerts and the Theatre
I Hate...despise...not being able to attend those or attending in a mask
I Hate...despise...the economy being shuttered or limited due to soaring case and hospitalization rates.
I Hate...despise...listening or reading various contrived conspiracy theories about the vaccine.

This could have been and should have been almost over by now but we are being pushed backwards due to low jab rates...and I despise that with every cell in my vaxxed body.

If this is offense to some here...I am sorry for them but my mind is unlikely to change any time soon.

I understand and agree. Hopefully we will continue to increase rates. Full approval will help some. Further mobilization in minority communities will help some. Incentives like lotteries. Sounds like new variants are convincing some conservative holdouts.

The scary thing is that apparently the vax aren't effective with certain variants.

Approval takes away one of the excuses being used.

We all know that if we don't knock this down soon with jabs, variants are eventually coming that work around the vaccines. Just a matter of time and it was preventable.

i am/was a big desantis fan - his posture on all of this is super frustrating. i presume it's fear of alienating the crazy portion of the base. one would think that picking up independents would offset the loss of crazies but i'm sure they know/understand the numbers far better than i. ugh

Willful ignorance then. It’s co-written by the inventor of mRNA vaccines, what could he possibly know?😂
Classic!
Except that Malone is NOT the inventor of mRNA vaccines. He has been linked to spreading misinformation thruout the pandemic, and this article which claims he is somehow the inventor of mRNA vaccines is the latest example.

Naturally, it appears in the Washington Times and is co-authored by Peter Navarro. The combination of "Dr" Moon's newspaper and the former Trump advisor who is being investigated for influence peddling with regards to how covid contracts were awarded did not set off alarm bells in your head? You don't see the problem with regarding that article as unbiased or even accurate?

Apologies (to mcm) for using a Twitter link, but the key is the link within the Twitter posts...

From the fact check by Logically (link in Tweet)...

"On his personal website, Twitter, and LinkedIn, Dr. Robert Malone has been promoting himself as the inventor of mRNA vaccines. This is misleading. In 1989, Malone published a paper titled "Cationic liposome-mediated RNA transfection." While this paper is an example of his important contribution to the then-emerging field, it does not make him the inventor of mRNA vaccines.

According to Stat News, "for decades, scientists have dreamed about the seemingly endless possibilities of custom-made messenger RNA or mRNA." According to the New York Times, "For her entire career, Dr. Kariko has focused on messenger RNA, or mRNA — the genetic script that carries DNA instructions to each cell’s protein-making machinery. She was convinced mRNA could be used to instruct cells to make their own medicines, including vaccines."

"UPDATE: Malone reached out to Logically, stating that he did not invent the mRNA vaccines, but instead the "vaccine technology platform." He also presented us with copies of nine patents – none of which showed that he invented the mRNA vaccines. The judgment for the claim has not changed."

This article is a prime example of covid misinformation spreading thruout the anti-vax cult...

The self-proclaimed mRNA vaccine co-inventor is a FRAUD. He was indeed on some early technology papers in the 90s. He has not published peer-reviewed research in decades and morphed into a crackpot, who found a way to monetize his nuttiness.

I hate variants, lockdowns and unemployment.

Masks are a small thing to put up with.

But...but...but...jet says we need to listen to the guy, and we are willfully ignorant if we don't.

Like I said, I feel like I practice willful discernment. Too bad jet is incapable.

The variants showing resistance to vaccinations - do we just continue to try to create new responsive vaccinations to match variants? Up doses? Frequency. How's that work?

Bc we never reached herd immunity are the vaccines a detriment in the long run bc they engender more potent variants to circumvent them?

I don't know this sciencey stuff all that well...let's ask Dr. Malone, and of course, jet.
