Spot on. I haven’t been there in years but is was the only city I’ve ever been to where men in full suits were wearing their team jackets instead of overcoats

Pittsburgh is fairly red outside of the city. Much more so than Philly side of the state where blue extends to Allentown, etc.

Baseball crowds are pretty conservative. You ever see any vendors coming down the aisles shouting, “Chardonnay here! Dry, medium-bodied!”?

If you visit in between Philly and Pit (aka Alabama), you see lots of grown men in HS letterman jackets

You do have to feel for Nebraska fans. Much like IU basketball, they were a power back in the day and their fans and alumni feel that is their rightful place today. Have to have a little empathy.

Baseball fans though. But at the same time people who can acquire WS tickets tend to be a little more Wine and Cheese. Your typical Dodgers fans are brutal. Every time they come to Wrigley they start fights and act uncouth. Just real low-level scum.

It's crazy how good they were in the 1990s. Since then, their high water mark has been middle-of-the-pack B1G team.

As an aside, I stopped in Lincoln on a road trip this past summer. Not a bad college town, but fairly nondescript. Not sure I would think it stood out from a crowd if I were a prospective college student.

They haven't made a bowl since 2016 (going off memory).

We've been to two after 2016...that should tell you how far they've fallen.
