USA!

I would temper this a bit with the conclusively proven fact that Steelers’ fans are completely and certifiably nuts. Only OSU fans are close.

But they could be right every so often.
Spot on. I haven’t been there in years but is was the only city I’ve ever been to where men in full suits were wearing their team jackets instead of overcoats

Still, it would be interesting to see the reaction were Kamalalala to show up at the first game of the World Series.

You have not been to Omaha then. Tax lawyers coming to court in suit and tie…with a gigantic Huskers red Starter coat. Every damn one of them.

Those were cool in the early 90s and Nebraska hasn’t really changed much since

You do have to feel for Nebraska fans. Much like IU basketball, they were a power back in the day and their fans and alumni feel that is their rightful place today. Have to have a little empathy.
It's crazy how good they were in the 1990s. Since then, their high water mark has been middle-of-the-pack B1G team.

As an aside, I stopped in Lincoln on a road trip this past summer. Not a bad college town, but fairly nondescript. Not sure I would think it stood out from a crowd if I were a prospective college student.

Doubtful.

Baseball crowds are pretty conservative. You ever see any vendors coming down the aisles shouting, “Chardonnay here! Dry, medium-bodied!”?

They haven't made a bowl since 2016 (going off memory).

We've been to two after 2016...that should tell you how far they've fallen.
