everyone wondered why Joe Paterno kept hanging on at PSU rather than just retire and enjoy his sunset yrs of life.

then we learned about Sandusky, and one has to wonder how much of Paterno hanging on was about thinking keeping that buried was dependent on JoPa remaining head coach.

obviously Biden has no business running again in 24, as no doubt his wife and those at the White House and everywhere else realizes.

that said, one has to wonder if Joe Biden doesn't think his staying in office is the best/only defense against Hunter going to jail, so he has to run again in 24 even if he doesn't want to, or think he should.

or that if a Hunter investigation is allowed to go ahead full bore, that any corruption on the big guy's part is also gonna come out.

and knowing that selling out to big oil or the big banks or big pharma is one thing, but selling out to China and other countries is another, if he has done that.

and he knows if he has or hasn't.

and Trump knows regaining, and then staying in office till his death regardless of the number of terms needed for that, is his best option to staying out of some kind of incarceration.

the reality that those who love power cling to it tighter than Charlton Heston clung to his rifle far longer than they should is more obvious every day.

that said, are we now not in a situation where for Joe Biden and DJT, it's not just a lust for power that they can't let go of, but literally a NEED to stay in power to keep themself or their only living son out of the slammer.

that said, i wonder if Biden realizes that even if he doesn't decide not to run again on his own, that good chance the DNC will decide that for him at the 24 convention, after it's too late for Joe Dem Voter to have any say in who replaces him atop the ticket.

the stakes are always high in presidential elections, but usually more so for the citizens and big money than for the candidates themselves.

but now do the candidates themselves have their own well being and that of their family on the line?

Although there are a few minor issues that I could squabble about, but I agree with most of this.
