Hell yeah!!! One od the things I like most about Allen.
Will this only be for away games or will they were the same thing in red uniforms for home games.
the george blanda lookI like it... but I'd prefer to see a single-bar face mask.
We’re wearing them for all road games.I’m guessing the throwback uniforms get used at Cincinnati or at Nebraska.
Sweet. We’re wearing them for all road games.
Michael McNeely spent like a million dollars to settle on the trident/pitchfork/cactus (what I always saw it as when a kid)! Don’t let all that money be spent in vain! There are people who don’t have enough to eat! Etc.I know Adidas forced us into these uniforms but they aren’t anything to get excited about. They just look like outdated uniforms to me. They are not old enough to be cool yet.
And can we get rid of the block I. I know a lot of the old-timers get a stiffy when they see it, but It is not the symbol of our university- not too mention we typically get our a$$es handed to us when we wear them.
Agreed - there was probably a 7 figure consulting engagement whose output was that the athletic department should use one logo and a consistent shade of red. I think we may need to bring the consultants back in!Michael McNeely spent like a million dollars to settle on the trident/pitchfork/cactus (what I always saw it as when a kid)! Based on social media, you are waaaaaaay in the minority on this. Young and old. Adidas didn’t force anything. They brought these out because the red ones last year were really popular.I know Adidas forced us into these uniforms but they aren’t anything to get excited about. They just look like outdated uniforms to me. They are not old enough to be cool yet.

The symbol of our University? Isn't that a Hoosier? An amorphous persona of a person from Indiana? I'm not sure how that would be depicted on a helmet.I know Adidas forced us into these uniforms but they aren’t anything to get excited about. They just look like outdated uniforms to me. They are not old enough to be cool yet.

Come on - you can’t deny the trident is a much more well known logo so why go with the block I.The symbol of our University? Isn't that a Hoosier? And amorphous persona of a person from Indiana? I'm not sure how that would be depicted on a helmet.
Personally I like the block I.
I’d honestly prefer a legit throwback if it’s allowed by the uniform rules. Mesh belly shirts & all.I know Adidas forced us into these uniforms but they aren’t anything to get excited about. They just look like outdated uniforms to me. They are not old enough to be cool yet.

Only 1 trident in college sports. Obviously noticed the I in yesterdays game on the Illinois uniforms. Don't know what Idaho displays? IU trident is the INDIANA brand. Still think there is a non-busy/overbearing way to scheme the color cream onto all IU uniforms.Come on - you can’t deny the trident is a much more well known logo so why go with the block I.
Basketball or Football?Doesn't really excite me..
I kinda dislike the block I on the helmet..
Rather see Indiana written out like the back of the basketball warm ups..
Win road games...Then I'll be all in !

LOL It's all about the pronouns now, isn't it?Is this close to what you're thinking of?? Definitely an amorphous persona and androgymous to boot!!.... Personnaly, I don't think it would work because it's probably not a Hoosier.... but who knows?
I would not lose any sleep if they went with the Trident helmet. Anything but the Chrome dome.Come on - you can’t deny the trident is a much more well known logo so why go with the block I.
This is the key. Lots of block I’s among colleges, no tridents. The block I is simply not broadly recognizable as Indiana beyond our alums of a specific era, and its use is to our detriment. The trident is. Always choose distinction.Only 1 trident in college sports. Obviously noticed the I in yesterdays game on the Illinois uniforms. Don't know what Idaho displays? I am also out of the mainstream on this. I prefer the white on white on the road with crimson helmet and the trident.Based on social media, you are waaaaaaay in the minority on this. Young and old. Adidas didn’t force anything. They brought these out because the red ones last year were really popular.
And they’re likely here to stay, so…
We typically get our asses handed to us anytime we show upI know Adidas forced us into these uniforms but they aren’t anything to get excited about. They just look like outdated uniforms to me. They are not old enough to be cool yet.

Well stated, forever build the brand. This is the key. Lots of block I’s among colleges, no tridents. The block I is simply not broadly recognizable as Indiana beyond our alums of a specific era, and its use is to our detriment. The trident is. Always choose distinction.
I love that helmet - nothing else like it and it's distinctive.I would not lose any sleep if they went with the Trident helmet. Anything but the Chrome dome.
Agreed. The 1988(?) Peach Bowl uni's were bad-ass. All white, red helmets with black facemask, black shoes. Looked great.I am also out of the mainstream on this. I prefer the white on white on the road with crimson helmet and the trident.
I am a bad bad fan, I know.
A foggy dank night in Fulton County Stadium.Agreed. The 1988(?) Peach Bowl uni's were bad-ass. All white, red helmets with black facemask, black shoes. Looked great.
Both Peach Bowls we played toe-to-toe with 2 very good teams.A foggy dank night in Fulton County Stadium.
You remember more game detail than I do from back then, I just remember losing and not being able to see the upper deck very well due to the fog. And puking in a MARTA station trash canBoth Peach Bowls we played toe-to-toe with 2 very good teams.
If we could have just held them on those last drives......
