Guess which IU player that averages more than 20 minutes per game has the fewest turnovers.

No Googling --I called it.

I misstated the question, but Green has only 2 turnovers in 46 total minutes. Shocking and surprising, at least to me. On a per-minute basis, I think he's still lowest by far among those averaging 20 minutes or more. Basically, he's kicking butt.

But I confess I misstated the question and clearly need a M118 refresher course.

This team can’t shoot and teams adjust their defense away from guarding it.
Please check the team stats and come back to us. You sure you know what you’re talking about? That narrative has been shattered through the first 6 games of the season. Will it hold through the whole year? Maybe. But so far, so good.

"Green doing Green things"

Jekyll & Hyde last night for Green. There is just something odd/off about the guy. How can you go from being so good in energy, shooting & ball handling in one half to being so bad in energy, shooting, and ball handling in the 2nd half?

The play that bothered me the most was when he dribbled into a double team, had the ball stolen, and loafed back. He should have been benched within 10 seconds of that play.

Agree. Am generally one of his biggest defenders, but that pissed me of as well - head down all hang dog and no motivation/chance to make a play for the ball t set things aright. No such resignation/hesitation in Aljami or Rob.

Hope that last night's second half was a one-off for a lot of Players in a number of ways... Miller said something post-game about 'needing to be punched in the mouth 2-3 times" before the learning actually sets in. Going to trust/hope that was one of them because the first 12 minutes of the Game were a thing of Beauty - if not some of the the best BB I've seen out of IU in years certainly some of the most satisfying.

Possibly the best first half for IU under Archie. Followed by a lackluster 2nd half saved by TJD.

Both Durham and Green were no-shows in 2nd half. Their outside D made Crawford and Archibald look All-American. How about Franklin drawing 3 charges. Haven't seen that in a while. The lane needs open more for Justin to penetrate. Brunk has the hands of Ewe Blab,

When your team captains make what can only be described as unforced and unnecessary turnovers, it's a problem. 9 turnovers from AD and DG. In a word, unacceptable. That was half the team total.

Yesterday I said they have to play with a tournament mentality. Every possession counts and should be treated as if the game is on the line. The nonchalant approach from your captains does not bode well.

When things start getting sloppy and you open the door for the opponent to climb back into the game, you hope your captains step up. Instead of settling the team down and getting back to what works, they contributed to the run with careless play.

One 'prep" game left to put it all together on both ends for 40 minutes.

We looked like the Globetrotters the first 12 minutes and like the Generals the 2nd half.

It looked like Archie was literally going to come out and kick Al in the ass after that second TO....had to laugh at that.

One of the things about this team is that we're not ultra quick. DG, in particular, played some matador defense, but Durham isn't ultra quick and doesn't have great balance. And RP isn't exceptional quick either. Not to mention Brunk & Trace. Point being.....we really have to play hard on D to contain some of these little, ultra quick play makers, and DG & AD have to keep their s*** together under defensive pressure while on O.

Agree not a particularly quick team but RP is plenty quick and moves his feet as an on ball defender exceptionally well.

Al fell apart and turned it over like Crean was on the sideline. Brunk fumbled a lot of passes. I've noticed that this year. Maybe the passes weren't perfect, but you have to catch the ball. He seemed surprised by a couple of passes.

Except for that second half, I have been pleased with turnovers and free throw shooting. You have to like the number of points we score in the paint.

I like Brunk in the paint.
He brings a lot of grit to the team.
He is a post player that doesn't need to shoot 3s. That has become more important with Davis being limited. I will be happy if he keeps producing as we get into conference play.
