Trumps Tweet about former AG Barr

Vpm and trump are both servants. They devoted themselves to helping us
Another one, showing Trump really likes to wave his hands around spontaneously while speaking (check 3:15 mark) and showing he is a true man of the people.

I'll be honest, until I looked up this issue today, to try to refute VanPastorMan, I didn't know anything about his past use of this gesture.

A self made billionaire who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty who only sees people (not color). Wow. Wow. Wow. What a nice contrast to a certain lifer….

Yep, you could see true adoration (and a bit of lust) in his eyes for Mia the maid at the end of that clip.

I'm glad he remembers the rough and tumble world from which he came.

I was saying he uses the gesture to describe people he thinks are stupid. He thought the reporter who was disabled was stupid. Do we have direct evidence he even knew this reporter that well to know he was disabled?

The reporter says Trump knew him. That's about it.

I agree with you after watching all these clips: he was mocking the reporter, for sure, but not because of his disability, but because he backtracked on his story.

Even if it was just a coincidence and Trump regularly makes fun of people by pretending to be disabled, I am not sure that is the defense you think it is.
Vpm he keeps falling for lefty propaganda

Lol. Yeah he knew the reporter, knew his disability and mocked him like that anyway? The reporter had interviewed him several times. That’s a whole lot better, isn’t it? Making fun of people and acting disabled is better? You seriously spent your time on that today? And are now making this argument? Waiting for your explanations of why grab them by the p—y isn’t that bad, blood coming out of her whatever was showing concern, and he’s worried about nutrition when he calls people fat pigs.

Well, my sense of humor is a lot different that yours. I don’t find it amusing when a candidate for President calls names and bullies others. I bet you found it hilarious when he made fun of the disabled reporter too. And when he calls people fat, now that’s a laugh and a half!
I guess the White House Correspondents dinner doesn't count? Talk about calling names and bullying of someone who wasn't even in attendance.

I dunno man, that seems like a weak defense. Like justifying using the n word because you also directed it at white people.

Unless you're suggesting Trump is so stupid, we wouldn't have any idea why someone might take offense at those gestures?

Is it brave to bow down to the leader of your party even if you personally think that person is a scumbag?

How many GOP politicians have said what a POS trump is but later support Trump because they are afraid of Trump and his followers and being voted out or threatened with violence?

They're pussies.
Same could be said regarding you and Biden.

It's not, I just mean saying you did something in one context is hardly a defense for doing it in another.
I don't think a presidential candidate or the president or anyone in a serious position of power should mock anyone. I don't like that Trump does that.

My point is, from the footage discovered, it's clear Trump does that arm thing whenever he is mocking someone who is cowardly or indecisive or flustered. Hell, he even did a partial version of it on that stupid TV show with the maid. He isn't doing it to signal a physical disability in those instances. Is it possible he did the same move with respect to this reporter to actually mock the guy's physical disability? I guess so.

Brad, I have really thought about this. Are we sure Trump knew this reporter as far as knowing his background and health status? Perhaps Trump had read something he had written, but I have heard of and read plenty of columnists etc and I have no idea about their lives.

I agree with all that but what I'm saying is I think the gesture itself is clearly intended to evoke some element of disability. And I think that makes it offensive even if he wasn't using it to reference an actual disability.

Sort of like flippant use of the word "retarded" as an insult. It's still offensive even if you're directing it at someone without a mental disability.

When I saw the video where Trump did that to other people who were not disabled it appeared that it is to denote idiocy. Now of course I don't go around and publicly mock people like that and don't think it should be done either. But it is a far stretch to say Trump did it to make fun of someone who was disabled.

@VanPastorMan , maybe you should read about it.

Trump and Serge Kovaleski, the disabled reporter, were on a first-name basis.

But keep propping up your "grab 'em by the pussy" hero, Van. The guy who bears false witness almost as often as he takes a breath. The guy who mocks and/or defames anyone he doesn't like. The guy who defrauds people left and right - - from contractors to voters. The guy who stole from his own charitable foundation. The guy who publicly declared that he has never asked God for forgiveness, presumably because he doesn't think he's ever done anything wrong.

Nothing he does or says today reflects any regret or remorse for what he's done in the past. Rather, he just doubles down and goes lower and lower.

My God. Wake up.

Biden's daughter said her dad showed with her during her teen years. She wrote that in her diary.
Sure she did. That is likely as much bull shit as stormy Daniel's letter saying Trump is innocent.

And Trump paid porn stars to cheat on every wife he has had and buried one of his ex wives on a golf course for a tax break. That is actually true.

Yes they had met in the past.

Ah. Ok. I guess I don’t see that. I thought it was just a sense of being confused and flustered.

This is so spot on. I remember back in the day, before I became self aware, when I would use gestures and words, towards people I considered to be attacking me and degrading me, that my gestures where totally designed to highlight THEIR greatness, and accomplishments, and how right they were to be MY "enemy".
Mocking gestures, jokes and anecdotes were always meant to pump up the opponent, shine their brilliance before ALL the world to see, before Trump did it of course.
God I miss the good old days when normal republicans simply made their enemy stronger and then gave into all of their demands. I miss Mittons, who once drove a VW micro bus, through hostel cannibals, cutting his own leg off as part of the negotiations. That was when America was Great again by god . In turn, the cannibals gave him a 35million $$ private jet.
The canibals said, "a friend that is so giving, you just don't eat all at once, duh".

Can we stop with the nonsense? Trump KNEW Serge (despite lying about it) and even did one on one interviews with Serge in Trump's office in Trump Tower.Serge worked for the NY Daily News in the 80s, so he interracted with Trump often.

But as usual with Trump it's all a game of subtrefuge. The whole incident revolved around citing a story Serge wrote post 9-11 which said that police had "allegedly" questioned a number of people possibly viewed as celebrating the attack. Trump completely mischaracterized what Serge wrote, and tried to claim that "thousands upon thousands of Muslims had been detained".

Serge disavowed Trump's claims and pointed out that he (Serge) had made no such claim. Basically he pointed out that not only had Trump fabricated the claim, but also he had then tried to use Serge's article as a basis for making the ridiculous claim in the first place.

Liars hate being called out for lying, so Trump made Serge the butt of his joke during the camapign speech. Later after realizing how badly he ****ed up he tried to claim that he didn't know who Serge was so he couldn't possibly be mocking him. Everyone in NY knew that was a lie...

Not wanting to be associated with Trump's ridiculous lie Serge disavowed Trump's claims of "thousands upon thousands". Serge also pointed out that he had never claimed hundreds or any specific number, and he also stressed his use of the word "allegedly" in the article Trump referenced. In fact Serge later said that he hadn't been able to confirm any examples, which undoubtedly further served to inflame Trump.

So for the people who are "defending Trump" on the basis that he often acted this way, I'm not sure that Trump implying that Serge is stupid is any kind of defense at all.Not wanting to be asssociated with an outrageous lie is not a crime or a reason to imply that a person is stupid.

Btw, the rally where Trump mocked Serge was in Nov 2015. Asking because I don't know, but how many of the clips purporting to show Trump using the same gestures to mock others came from BEFORE he mocked Serge? My guess (and I could be wrong) is that most if not all of them took place After Trump mocked Serge, as a means of covering his ass.
