Trump is no longer attending the Penn State versus Ohio State game

I was explaining military and academy reality, not trolling. Before a President visits the Army-Navy game or a graduation, every Cadet and Midshipmen is reminded that he/she will show respect for the Commander in Chief. It doesn't matter who the President is.

I honestly can't believe anyone is giving you pushback on this. I've never been to an Army/Navy game, but have a handful of friends who served and have been to more than a handful of these games. Though not bringing up Trump/Biden specifically, they've said similar things that you have about how respectful the crowds are at these games. I've always assumed that whoever is Commander in Chief would be applauded at this games.

I'm not surprised Trump got applause at the game he attended as Commander In Chief. I wouldn't be surprised if Biden received a similar reception. The same would go for Kamala Harris. Given what you said about Clinton, Obama, Bush, etc, that would seem to check out.

Trying to say the cadets gave Trump the loudest ovation ever while Biden would probably get booed is dumb. But when you're in a cult I guess you have to toe the line.
I've been to a few Navy games at the USNA, including Air Force-Navy and IU-Navy. Navy won both of those. You are correct that crowds at the academies and at the Army-Navy game are extremely respectful. They're being trained to be officers and gentlemen (or gentleladies) and many of the attendees are active duty or retired military and families. I don't even recall a boo for a bad call. ;)

Matt's doing pure projection. It's very common here.

There is absolutely, no ****ing way Biden got half the reception at Army/Navy that Trump did...just look at the video comparison of Trump's reception versus Biden's when he attended as President.

Some of you guys are truly weird and extremely immature. That's a factual post and you post a ridiculously stupid meme as a response.
You lock it up right now. That's Ron Burgundy and there isn't anything stupid with that man. I'll take your crap when you call me names, but don't cross the line and denigrate, Ronny.

Man you guys worry about dumb $hit. Insecure? Did Trump's lack of inaugural crowd size personally embarrass you?

I wasn't denigrating Ron Burgundy. That was a great movie. Too bad about Cristina Applegate's health issues these days.

Are we at the point in this country where a presidential candidate or an elected candidate isn't safe anywhere?
I certainly hope not.

But, obviously, any event like this would be a fairly big undertaking for security folks. And there could also have been some specific threats that had them concerned.

Who knows? Maybe we’ll find out. If not, it’s anybody’s guess.

What are the theories on why he’s changed his mind about this one?
Probably because most there will already be voting for him, best to concentrate his efforts elsewhere. Some will laugh at this but I honestly think it is true. I'm not much into the "Alpha" or "Beta" males but if you look at it from that perspective many more alfa's than beta's at that game Saturday. I think he should send Nick Bosa to the game, now that would be epic.

He's our President. **** off.

I watched the video. It's not nearly as raucous as you claim. **** off.

You don't have a ****ing clue what it's like to be military, sissy boy. **** off. Military Times poll. **** off. They wouldn't dare laugh at a President. Would never happen. **** off.

Some of you guys are so ****ing stupid. STFU and move along, bonehead.
Fair is fair.

Lars received the first Grammar Court fine ($5.00) for misspelling Fvck and Fvcking yesterday in his classic rant. He appealed, claiming a two-tiered justice system if you’re allowed to skate.

So, $5.00.

We don’t want a lot of this to happen.

Actually, I spelled it correctly. The whole word gets replaced by asterisks if you spell it correctly - like this: ****

It's a feature of the site which I found accidentally when I forgot to alter the word. ;)

OSU fanbase is the second worst in the country, topped only by Steelers fans.

I don't think so. OSU fans assault visitors regularly. Steelers fans are obnoxious, but the only fan base that would compare are Eagles fans.

We don’t see them much. See the damn Steelers twice a year.

When the Eagles pounded the Bengals Sunday the Philly fans just laughed - and rightly so - at the Bengals’ defense. Never gave ‘em a chance to be obnoxious or rowdy.

You want to send Nick Bosa, a buckeye, to a Penn State game?

You really don't like the guy, do you.

My favorite part is the extra slap he gets in just before leaving.
No doubt — and it’s made even better by the fact that somebody is behind him pulling at him…not to get him to stop smacking the lady, but because it’s their turn to do it.

He looks back quickly, and sees that this person is a nun. No reaction to that, but he still gets in that final smack.

That is absolute comedy gold.

Most of those acting like a-holes in Aloha Stadium are locals without any actual ties to UH.
With a name like "Rainbow Warriors" in living in paradise, I would have never expected poor behavior.

When I have visited, granted not for sports, Hawaiian hospitality has always seemed at a very high level. The spirit of mahalo. My daughter is in grad school at UH and we are visiting for the 3rd time this Thanksgiving week, going to Maui and Kauai. We have previously visited Oahu and the big island.

Pennsylvania's not a red state. It's swing, and there will be plenty at the game who are voting for Harris. There's a good chance Trump would be booed by thousands in attendance which would, of course, be terrible optics for him. And he wouldn't be able to then instruct security to "get them the hell out of here" or suggest that they be roughed up.

He wouldn't have the control that he has at his rallies.
There's an even better chance you are full of shit.

I have been in several stadiums cheering for the road team. Philadelphia and New York (actually, New Jersey Meadowlands) are the worst I've been in. Just sit fairly quietly and by all means don't wear clothing indicating support of the visiting team. I never do anyway, but just clapping for the visitors invites abuse. Expect to get soaked in thrown beer. Never had problems at colleges.

The football team goes by Warriors and they got rid of the rainbows a long time ago.

My wife got her masters at UH.

I enjoyed living there. Great golf. People are much nicer outside the football stadium. They depend in tourism.

Believe it or not, the worst fans in the stadium are University of Hawaii fans. I went to a number of games back when June Jones was the coach. UH had some good teams, but Jones did not enforce good sportsmanship with his teams. The crowd was the same.

And I've been to a lot of games at OSU during my three years with the NROTC and several after. The OSU fans can be a-holes, but I personally didn't have a problem with them. My wife hates them though. ;)
I was at the Hawaii basketball game vs Indiana in the 97-98 season. Their pretend basketball fans that game were another special level as well. But kudos to them, they knocked off Indiana, Illinois State and then Kansas a few weeks later that season.

It was 7:00pm Hawaii time and Illinois State/NE Lousiana was after lol. 11k for IU/Hawaii, then 750 for second game. The third place game for IU vs NE Louisiana, Galen has it on youtube. The title game Hawaii vs Illinois State only had 3,500 lol. I guess those cockt rainbows only wanted to see IU & Knight.

Beating Indiana, Illinois State (9seed Ncaa team) and Kansas the next month, rhey were top 25 team and then petered out in their conference.

So much talent.
Collier/Patterson & Recker as McdAA burger boys. Guyton & Lewis as guards. Reed would have been a senior on rhat team as would have Wilkerson as a 5th year senior. Would have been 5 mcdonalds AA's. But we all know how those guys played out.
