interesting reading all the posts discussing who should play. . .when they should play. . .and how to help correct their deficiencies.

Let's review what the players brought to IU. Most of those playing were top 50 coming out of high school. Isn't it fair to assume we didn't have the terrible luck of selecting the only top 50 players who could not pass, play team basketball, protect the ball, block out, etc.? Could we have selected only players who can't play defense? Or, the only top 50 layers who just keep repeating the same mistakes?

Not a statistician, however believe the odds against all top players with these challenges arriving at the same school have to be really small.

On the other hand, we have . . .a roster that is constantly in flux. . . .frenetic game management. . . . lose the second halves of games. . . poor defense regardless of who the players are. . .turnovers during 25% of our possessions. . . Well, you see where I'm going with this.

Re-arranging the deck chairs won't make a meaningful difference. Nor will excuses, rationalizations or expecting a flat learning curve to change. Hope we can more completely focus on the real issues and not keep calling out players trying to execute someone else's system and management.
