TJD had a great game last night (shot 100%!) for the Warriors: 15 points on 6/6 shooting with 6 boards and 1 block in just 19 minutes. Dude hustles on every possession. I know this has been mentioned before but his athelticism sneaks up on you. He threw down an alley-oop on a pick and roll that was elite, drawing OHHHHHsss! from the crowd (and announcers). His ball handling seems to have improved a great deal, too, with him bringing the ball up the court on several instances. His passing remains top-tier. Great to see him get some minutes, despite the circumstances. Love the beard.

Too bad he only plays in lopsided losses these days. His complete lack of a shot beyond 2 ft from the basket will always hold him back.

I remember Peegs back in his AAU days saying that his greatest asset was his insanely quick second jump. Thought that was a weird assessment but then watching him play I totally got it. He is a heck of an athlete and a underrated competitor IMO, but his shooting, or lack thereof, is baffling.

Just my opinion, but his lack of shooting is all mental, sort of like a second baseman with the yips. He’s a good enough FT shooter to show he has a stroke but just won’t shoot. Really rooting for TJD.
