I wouldn’t think they spent all the money on that freshman QB to sit on the bench,I’m kind of surprised Edwards would go there.
Probably convinced him that he would be a "bridge" next year for their high paid incoming freshman QB.

There's nothing out there right now about hardly anybody.
I'm thinking the staff doesn't even want kids to announce an offer on social media at this point, that's how secretive they are being.

Probably a really smart move... No sense in setting yourself up for a competitor to screw you just because they can... Not only that, why do their work for them... It's pretty obvious that this staff is in the upper 1% when it comes to evaluating talent, no reason to give away the Secret Sauce recipe... 😉

Anybody know if schools are hesitant to recruit Hopper due to the fall camp helmet incident at Appalachian State? Although never identified officially by the school, it was rumored to be Hopper.
Do we have a punter? I don't see Franke with punting stats. And I thought the Bloomington frosh to be, Bryce Taylor was supposed to have a big leg for kickoffs? I guess he is a punter too.
Franke has been in the portal three years including this one it looks like. I assume he's coming for kickoffs and long feild goals. Seems like we wouldn't try long ones very often though.

He is a former Nebraska Cornhusker. Transferred to Texas State for a year. I believe he is strictly kickoffs only.

Doesn't sound very dynamic. Just one int for a two year career? (Against ND) No return stats. Not a lot of pass breakups.

If this staff offers it's because they believe the guy can produce in a big way in the Big Ten... We won't hit the jackpot on every pickup but I'm more than comfortable with our staffs evaluation track record.
Last year they hit on over 80% of the talent (producing) that they brought in from the Portal... That seems extraordinary to me... I would think that hitting on 65-70 % would be considered good at most places...
It is interesting that Marshall lost so many players to the transfer portal that it had to withdraw from its bowl game with Army. I wonder if making it later would do any good.
