If the officiating in the FAU & NW game is similar for Purdue games, Purdue is in big trouble. Hack and scrape the big guys and no fouls called.

Were those B1G refs in the KU Samford game? What an awful call against Samford. That ref had his mind made up to call a foul before the KU player even jumped.

That probably won't hurt them as much as if they do call illegal screens, "over the backs", and/or clearing out with your off arm. Edey is used to getting hammered himself. They can't beat good teams with him on the bench though.

Going to be interesting for sure. he gets hacked a bit but so many of the bad calls are fouls he commits with the back of him arms into the throat and face that end up being called on the defender. Plus the illegal screens as you say. Some of his over the backs are not really that...he is just big enough to get up. That said he should have one OTB call in most games.

Not many of his offensive rebounds are technically fouls. But every single game he gets a couple where he ends up going "through" a man in legal rebounding position. Any time he creates the contact, that ends up giving him the advantage, it should be a foul. It seldom gets called, because of how big he is I assume. Same with him clearing out with his off arm on shot attempts.

Where he mostly gets away with obvious fouls though are his pick and roll, illegal screens. Its now a staple in their offense, and its literally never called. He sets a screen, than as the screen action is happening he drops his leg and rolls in to the man, lengthening out the time and space of the screen. You can't "go under" an Edey screen, because under is literally an 5-6 foot distance because of his illegal rolling in to the defender.

I would get a T within the first 5 minutes of a game coaching against them/him.

Perfect description of their offense.

I'm also done with all the "OFFICIAL REVIEWS" in the last two minutes!!!!!!!

Every friggin play is a stop the clock to check the clock BS!!!!!!!!

That ghost out of bounds call against FAU at the end of regulation was horrible. How can a ref be standing on the baseline, look down and see someone step out of bounds when neither team had a player anywhere near over the line? Has the game progressed beyond what officials are able to handle these days or is it a matter of needing to train/find more quality officials?

That and the Samford phantom foul were both horrible, but the Samford one probably cost them the game. FAU wasn’t beating NW in that OT
