Now that I have completely dried out and have my bearings (LOL), here's my thoughts on the Rivals Camp Series stop at Ben Davis in Indy:

Less than ideal conditions greeted campers, as cold rain and wind created havoc on the camp, but all came ready to show why they were invited yesterday.

Quarterbacks:
Guys who stood out to me were Dante Moore, a 2023 Indiana recruit from Martin Luther King High in Detroit. Moore has a host of offers and showed why as he is a lanky kid who can make all the throws, moves well out of the pocket and showed off his arm strength in the rain and wind with several deep balls.

Caden Veltkamp is a name to remember. The 6-foot-5-inch Kentucky standout has only one Power 5 offer at the moment, from Kentucky, but has been in contact with Indiana's staff, including Nick Sheridan. Veltkamp throws a beautiful pass and earned QB MVP honors. I would expect colleges to start going after him immediately now that he is hitting the camp scene and getting out there a bit more. Will Indiana offer? I asked Veltkamp that very question and he replied, if Coach Sheridan likes what he sees when he comes to throw, he believes an offer will come. Veltkamp is looking to throw for Indiana this June.

Wide receivers:
Rodney Harris II, out of Ohio, is a guy who did well Sunday considering. The IU recruit had no dropped passes and has the Hoosiers high on his list.

Linemen:
It was nice to see D.J. Moore up close again. The Snider High School product told myself and Rivals that he will be taking his first official visit of the summer to Indiana this June. He is the former high school teammate of Randy Holtz, so we shall see what means as we get going.

Lawrenceburg High School's Ashton Craig, along with New Palestine's Luke Burgess did well. Burgess told me he had hoped to get a few more reps in against the top talent, but the weather conditions limited that (and they did as the events were shortened due to weather and weather delays).

Jackson Pruitt, the big OL from Michigan, who holds an Indiana offer, was also in attendance and held his own against top players. I have to admit, as big as Jackson is, his personality is just as big. Great kid who wore a smile quite a bit Sunday. Great size, great feet, would be a huge pick up for the Hoosiers.

One final IU recruit who was there was Ryan Baer, out of Ohio. Baer told me he is unsure if he will visit Indiana (story coming), but did tell me the Hoosiers are in his mix. He is set to visit Virginia Tech this summer and a few other spots.

One name to keep an eye on in 2023 standout Joe Crocker, of Nashville (TN) Franklin Road Academy. Great size at 6-foot-6 and 330, and moves very well for a big kid. Didn't get overpowered against older players and held his own. Offers are starting to come in for him and he would be a player that should be on Indiana's radar down the road.

DJ Moore, Dante Moore and Sonny Styles, all Indiana recruits, were offered Five Star Challenge Invites.
