Exactly. No business being in the tourney and really pointless anyway. This team is not going to win a game should they get into the tourney. With the exception of the last game vs Ohio State which appears to be an anomaly, this team has no clue how to close out a game and win it. The stretch when we missed the front end of one and one’s by Leal and got several offensive rebounds and could not convert along with the wide open 10’ miss by Mgbako around the 5 minute mark, it was obvious this game was over. Has Mgbako converted his wide open look from the baseline and Leal made his free throws, we may have won. Instead, it’s another double digit ass whipping to our Bigfoot coached team and hopefully IU does not get selected as we are not worthy and it will just be another loss. Time to close the Bigfoot chapter. He was no better, results wise, than Archie. We lost the last 8 years of basketball. Nearly a decade of continued irrelevance.

don't think so, this is about the most unathletic bunch i can recall, + no shooters. needs creaning bad
this is a poorly constructed team. There just aren't any all around players with multiple skills. We can't play two bigs at the same time because They clog the Court and neither one of them can shoot effectively from more than 6 feet. When They do get the ball underneath and guarded by a taller player, They don't have the strength to work through the Defender and get a good shot or draw a foul. Whatever happened to work through the Defender, and if He hangs on You, put His arm through the basket with the ball. You have too many guys Who are one dimensional on Offense and can't force their Defender to play honestly. The free throw shooting is atrocious. If I were Coaching, I wouldn't recruit someone Who averaged less than 70% on free throw shooting unless that guy could score 30 per game.
We need at least one stone cold sharpshooter with no conscience, Who can hit 40% from 3 point range. The good news for a new Coach is that He won't be stuck with a lot of Players from this team. He can start over and recruit the type of kids He wants.
So glad Woody is about done. His teams are poorly coached and not fun to watch at all.
Let's hope he's completely done. Get this over with.
Goode with 1pt with multiple looks. Leal should not be out there. Rice no help. Bad showing defensively from everyone especially Leal, Goode, Mgbako, hell.....all of them. This team is like every IU team in the last 10yrs. They flat out can't shoot and they flat out can't score.

Reneau is listed with 1 TO, but considering the number of fumbled/tipped OB balls, and missed 3 footers, 6-8 is probably more correct.

when Leal Goode and even Galloway are playing that many minutes you've got problems. Love Leals hustle but a huge liability offensively. Goode must hit his outside shots or he is useless. The commentators said a couple times Oregon has get the ball to whoever Goode is guarding. Also, Reneau is worthless on defense. He (and Leal) would sag in and leave their man for multiple outside shots. Oh well, maybe they will get hot in the tourney if they make it.
I'd think the NIL dollars would soothe the pain of the social media insults a bit.

This time of year especially, players need to play for themselves. This is the bigger stage and a dress rehearsal for the NCAA tourney AND their time to prove their resume'. Unless they've got some side gig already, like real estate, putting 1000% effort in benefits them more than anyone sitting in the stands or TV (unless there's a money bet). The season is for the fan and coach, the B18 for the faithful/alumni, BTT for the players micro afterlife (good will of fans and free drinks) and the NCAA tourney for there macro after life. ONE point, the difference between L and W defines whether you spend you next 30 years responding to "how did you do it" or "what went wrong".
I feel for Ballo and all the players. But only somewhat. They, as so many teams in years past, failed to see the importance of the moment for their future.
Carlyle and rice who were supposed to form the best backcourt in the big ten per guys on twitter last summer.
Arguably 2 of the weakest guards in the conference. Carlyle needs to finish out at a JUCO. He has absolutely zero feel for the game.
Woodson is bad, but Archie was worse. Woodson was better than Archie, results-wise, just by virtue of actually making the tournament twice. Let’s at least be accurate. At the end of the day, they’re both terrible.
I agree woody was better. But consider this. Woody was also 0-5 vs NW and overall Big Ten record over 4 years was 41 - 39. Two tourney appearances (pending this season) and 2-2 in tourney. And this was improvement! Man we suck.
