If we do manage to win two more games and go to a bowl it means we were able to get past this debacle and progress is being made. It means that we have finished strong and won a couple of road games late or that we've beaten a strong opponent that we shouldn't have beaten - Wilson deserves and gets an extension.

If not, it signifies a colossal collapse and this game was a breaking point. Wilson deserves to be fired and I feel pretty certain that is what would happen.

The best course for IU is to wait until the season ends and the decision is easy. If Wilson has real character, he should privately express to the administration that he will resign if the Hoosiers do not get to a bowl.

Either way, there is no need for rash, knee-jerk reaction on Glass' part. This thing will now resolve itself.

The sad thing is that it shouldn't be down to some kind of "recovery mode." Win 2 more and you get a lotto ticket.
The guy can be judged on his body of work. It's terrible over 5 seasons. He's choked away games like no tomorrow. Navy, Minnesota, Ball State twice. His teams are undisciplined. They rarely play a full 60. He loses his marbles when it's time for some stability in game management. Five seasons later and he is no closer to beING a head coach than when he started. IU was a guinea pig for a coaching experiment and it backfired. This will play out to an 8 straight loss ordeal and then we'll send him packing.

It may very well play out that way. My point is that it would be stupid to make any decision on Wilson until the end of the season. Nothing is gained by firing him until then and nothing is lost by waiting. The odds are not good that IU will win any of the next three games and I have my doubts that they can win two road games to finish the season. But should one of those things happen it does mean that record and recruiting-wise IU has shown definite progress through Wilson's tenure.

If not (and this is where I'd put the money if I were in Vegas), it becomes an easy decision to move in a different direction. My hope would be that we look for a successful head coach from a "mid-major" or FCS conference with a background as a defensive coordinator (or with a talented DC on his current staff) . Pony up the money for him to bring his entire staff along.

I agree to wait till the end of the year. If we don't win 2 more, he is gone. Bring in all of the Bowling Green staff. Now it's off to see a therapist, I stayed for the whole game and I need my meds increased, as my hopes were yet again dashed by IU football.

We won't win two more games and Wilson is not the answer. He is a good talker and that's about it.
