I thought you were complaining about gas prices? They aren't going to go down naturally as long as Vlad is in Ukraine...
So do you want lower gas prices or not? Are you upset that you'll be paying less for gas? Or are you upset because you think it will be less of a potent issue for the GOP to use in the 2022 midterms?

What Danc, you or anyone else on this forum wants is one thing. When the leader of our country does a complete 180 for trying to score a few political points, it’s a problem. Biden and his dumbass staff have threatened oil companies, closed pipelines that otherwise would be moving 900,000 barrels a day, and done everything in his power to disincentive drilling for the last 15 months. Now, he wants to penalize, tax, and threaten oils companies if they don’t drill. What a total CF of an administration.

Releasing oil from the strategic reserve is a drop in the bucket and will have no impact on prices.

Oil is sold on futures contracts. There is no point in adjusting your price much for a planned short term increase in supply.
This week, 4 Tankers of Russian oil were offloading in US ports, with another 20 tankers in route.
I understand the US has dropped sanctions against Russian fertilizer.

Fortunately, the US planned long ago to help us meet an energy supply crisis. We created and supplied strategic oil reserves to ease the burden of an energy supply crisis. Aren’t we lucky.
But wait, there’s more. We have a president who has been in politics since God created dirt, has never done anything important, is now a senile old fart who uses cue cards to find his teleprompter, whose approval numbers are tanking because in large part of his hairbrained energy policies who now uses our strategic energy reserve as a political gimmick to deal with said hairbrained energy policies.
Shorter version: Biden doesn’t give two shits about the price of energy. He wants votes, power, and authority.
