The two most reviled players on this board...

I was (justifiably) hard on them but they both showed up today. Nice win and if we go on a little run here we have an outside chance to make the tournament.

Reviled for a reason; two players with experience that should have been leading this IU team all season. Both stepped up big time today and they deserve kudos. Justification both ways and fortunately for today . . . justified props on leading the team to another win over a ranked opponent.

Its frustrating they havent played more like this all season. The old saying, sun shines on a dogs butt every now and then. If IU keeps winning and makes tourney all will be forgiven but Im afraid we come up short and the ire of IU fans will turn against these 2 especially Green.

I will say Armon Bassett would have hit that turnaround in the lane at the end.

Glad to see that somehow they played well enough to get two big wins this week. One game at a time now.

Easily Smith's best performance of the season. Kudos to him.

I'm not sure if I saw Green try for the HR today or not. I can't think of a trip down where he didn't make the safe play instead of the flashy one. He could be so good if he played like this every game.

DG played the way he needs to and what I have described for him. Only one bone headed TO early.

I think it was his best game as a Hoosier. He was intense and cut down on the silliness. Game ball goes to Smith.

...come up big time!

Congrats Devonte Greene and Justin Smith.

Why not do this all the time???????
I will certainly give them both kudos today! But until they can shown high level play on a consistent basis, I will remain skeptical.

Lol if he misses those three's he's being shot into the sun along with more made up BS about him because he didn't pass it to Romeo enough, or he was probably the one kicked out of practice or that he didn't congratulate Romeo enough when Romeo hit the game winner vs Wisconsin (seriously, there was a giant post bitching about how Green seemed upset that Romeo won the game which a bunch of people piled on....until someone posted the shot and noticed that it was in fact Green that ran from the top of the key and was the first one to Romeo with a chest bump and a smile).

The hatred and blaming of Green is beyond ridiculous. Especially for an unranked player.

He was active on defense, he didn't dribble into the lane with nowhere to go much and hit some huge nuts shots.

So, if you are being honest, Green has really struggled this year and has been super inconsistent. I have called him fools gold on more than one occasion, because when he is on, he’s really good. But what we really need from him is consistently good. We cannot afford his bad games, and when he is bad, he is REALLY bad.

He was really good today.

I think you are wrong. Win out the regular season and win 1 or 2 in BTT and we are in. Probably have to win at least 1
sure. win out the last two games. still a tough road to hoe. that would get us a bye and two i think gets us to the final. i think the final is imperative but doesn't guarantee much. that's still s whopping 15 losses. off the top of your head the last at-large berth with 15 losses is...? so that scenario and yours is a big, fat maybe. sooo...btt or bust

Alabama last year.

Vandy had 15 losses a couple seasons ago and got in.

We don't have any bad losses and a ton of quad 1 wins which is why most experts think if we win out plus one BTT win probably gets us in.

I think Illinois will end that fantasy though.

Yes, last two game games will be tough. @ Illinois scares me and Rutgers playing very well too right now.

You're talking NIT right ?

In a position to win the Big Ten and still over here worrying about us. You may have some winners on your team but there is not a bigger bunch of embarrassing losers than Purdue fans. With you all it is always about IU. Playing a football game against Bowling Green? Chant "IU Sucks". Having a good year in basketball? "Wah, the IU-Star does not cover us enough..." I firmly hope that your student section ignores Painter and continues with the chanting. Y'all have this impression that it bothers Indiana fans. Personally, most of us love it. There is no better advertising for how much of our bitch your fans really think Purdue is than that chant. Even when having a worse year our school still lives in your fanbase's heads rent free.

Much respect for most of the Purdue players and the way they play, but the fans? Biggest group of losers in the Big. Hands down.

Pet peeve. It's row. A tough row to hoe, not a road. Sorry, I can't help myself. Carry on.
