My speech would start by reminding the country how close the election was and how both parties must work together to solve problems common to all of us. Suggest speeches such as the State of the Union that the chamber not be divided by party affiliation.
The rest would a summation of areas of agreement and issues where reaching consensus is required.
Finally, would bring up completely new concepts which in the case of Trump would include DOGE, mass deportations, mineral rights, Panama Canal, tariffs, etc.
It’s a great idea. Those that are frugal will come out ahead. The rich spenders will pay the lion’s share. I don’t understand the opposition. Unless they are anti Trump everything.
I think they should stop speaking before Congress and just go back to sending letters.

As I said above, it was awful not to stand. But please don't give VPMs typically stupid take any merit. It was hate for Trump that caused them not to stand. Not condoning it, but it's 100 percent the reason.

CBS published the breakdown. 51% repub, 20% dem. The rest were either independent or no answer.
With that sort of spread, you'd expect Trump to get at least a 70% positive response, which is exactly what he did.
They were upset about the transgender mice not getting funding.
