The President intends to pardon Pete Rose.

And you have no issues with the distorted results? How about if your Celtic’s team doctor developed an undetectable drug that improved the leaping ability and foot speed of every player on the team by 20%?

An unlikely hypothetical but the advantage would allow the Celtics to dominate, distorting team results and individual statistics. The games become meaningless.

This is what Bonds, McGwire and the other suspects did to the game.

No mercy. No HOF. No way. No how.
Meh. Great pitchers still handled them. Maddox, Clemens, Randy Johnson.

Sosa is infinitely more deserving of the HOF over Rose.

Of course he can't pardon him off MLB's ineligible list, but he can pardon posthumously for federal tax evasion. The article does offer some speculation and hope (for some of us) that MLB will state that anyone on the ineligible list who has died is "eligible" which would mean the writers would be free to vote for him for the Hall of Fame:

Pete Rose should be in HOF.
