its been years since really followed baseball, probably was my most knowledgeable during my baseball card collecting days
just found it interesting, kind of a slow time in the iu hoops world, probably should have started a thread on Leal
Shelton was a Carbondale, IL product... came into SIU the year after my injury finished me. Darn good catcher that started his Sophomore year when SIU won the Valley over Creighton and Wichita State. Went 2-2 in the West Regional, with both losses being by one run. Hit for high averages, but not very much pop. Great arm, hard to steal on him. Got hurt in A-ball if I remember correctly. Then went into Minor League coaching and advancing up to Pirates HC.

Concert was great. My wife got us great aisle seats in the fourth row. Mark walked by us and if he had long nose hair I could have seen it. He had a family band with him from Tennessee. It was two parents, two kids. The daughter told a good joke. She said that people think she and her brother are married but they aren't from that part of Tennessee.
