This thread popped up at the bottom of my page and out of curiosity I opened it.

Read through these posts. Lots of vigorous disagreement, little name calling, no single word or single sentence insults.

Can we bring this back? Did the emergence of Trump and his habit of insulting his opponents along with the over the hyperbolic response to him ruin our ability to engage in this type of discourse?

Crazed Hoosier2 was an all-star poster, but he abandoned this place, not due to the Dream Team, but due to the stupidity to which he was subjected. Rock frequently went after him, much like he went after Ladoga, another one driven away, despite the occasional appearance here.

SHF was either banned or voluntarily left after being called out by nearly everyone here.

Crazed would present long, well-thought-out and detailed posts, only to receive a lot of idiotic and shithead one-line replies from the usual suspects. He had enough and despite several attempts to get him to return he is adamant that this place has no value or attraction for him.

I think SHF is BHE, but only about 90 percent sure. Same "Republicans bad, Democrats good" posting style, but has a little longer posts.
