The stock market will bounce back eventually. It's not really a concern of your everyday citizen unless you plan to retire in the next few months. I'm worried about prices on goods going up even more and the lack of a plan for wages.
Average worker wages could increase 100% tomorrow and it still might not be enough. I haven't heard a plan from either side that really tackles this. For damn sure haven't heard it from Trump. He's the last person that wants to see wages increase.

I agree with the stock market. However, going from importing 10,000s of workers to deporting 10,000s of workers will put upward pressure on wages for low skilled workers.
It was for perspective. I know everyone wants to freak out. However, Bessent has been pretty straight forward with what they’re doing.
At some point small caps will probably look attractive if that continues. If my memory serves correct they’re less likely to suffer from tariffs (more stuff made here domestically) and they benefit from lower rates (borrowing costs) and lower oil prices (which is going down). Once all of this gets priced in, it comes down to how well stocks are doing.
I’m not buying the world is ending narrative. If we’re in a recession in 12 months and inflation is still an issue, I’ll change my tune.

To be fair. Small caps have been dead for years. Indexes I monitor peaked in March 2021 and have gone nowhere since.
