The kid for PU is something...

Kid is the real deal. Open field nightmare. Hard for anyone to hold up all season being used that much. Especially a freshman. Be interested to see how the kid looks at year end.

Good point. Just read that Thorson was on a "pitch count." His backup, Green, is a walk-on. Northwestern clearly wasn't at their best.
They talked about Thorson being on a pitch count throughout last night’s game, as well as Green’s walk in status (he’s Trent Green’s son, and they showed Trent and Julie Green several times). Trent’s nephew also plays for NU (Ben Skowronek, from Fort Wayne), though I’m not sure they made that connection on ESPN.

Moore was purely a Brohm play. Moore is from Looyville and the Brohm family is royalty down there. Hitched his wagon to the coach.
What the heck are you babbling about? This thread was to compliment an amazing performance by a talented freshman....what is you deficiency?

Good for them (and you). I read the Chicago Tribune. I didn't see most of the game.

Good chance Moore tears a quad or ACL before the season is over.

Sometimes "squatty" guys like that are the most durable. Hard to get a square hit on them and they are rarely stretched out. Still, you take a lot of licks at that position. If he is going to get a lot of carries he's going to experience some fatigue as the year goes on. Getting hit that hard that often is a new experience for most guys coming from HS football.

I'm sure he is feeling every yard this morning...and there were a stinking bunch of them so...smile through the pain kid. You were the highlight film...

He plants hard when he cuts, and there’s very little decrease in forward speed. Dynamic athlete.
At times, his speed was stunning. He will have to tone it back it a bit if he wants to have anything left at seasons end. But an amazing display of talent. We should have such problems to worry about...vbg.

Wow...that comes from a dark place! Ummmm….perhaps a simple rephrasing might help...like prefacing with a "I hope he doesent…." Just a thought...

Not hoping for it for the kid, but I don't buy the "omg he squats ~600 pounds" out of HS being all-natural strength and using the steroids makes you much more likely to tear a quad.

Alright enough. My son went to high school with him. Moore is a freak of nature, not a 'roider. Wish he were playing for IU, but Reese Taylor is probably just as dynamic, plus I think we have a lot more team speed than PUke.

I just don't buy the "OMG...he squats 600 lbs...period. Just a thought....hype I think its spelled.

He has to move about a foot because he's so small. Not taking away the squat of 600 but its much easier for a kid his size to do that than someone taller.

Over the years I've been enjoying the rivalry between Purdue and IU and seen some jacked up posts on both sides. I have to tell you your post is an all time low. When Robbie Hummel tore his ACL up, you probably did back flips into the Jordan River butt naked.

While the post leaves a lot to be desired, I don't think he meant it as a slam or a wish. Fro isn't a Twindegrees or abugabby.

Why in the world did that Trinity coach make the football team run sprints during halftime of the Carmel game this year. Talk about an awkward moment. Everyone was like really???

I’m pretty sure he’s just saying based on how he cuts. We’ve seen it 3 times with JShun Harris.

Moore needs to do some soul searching. He turned down ELITE programs to play for Purue University. I didn't misspell their name.

I would say unless you are an elite national brand, most recruits hitch their wagon to the coach. No?

Devastating start to Purdue's season. This was a game they really needed to win. They've got only three conference home games remaining, and two of them are against Ohio State and Wisconsin. It's going to be very difficult to equal last year's record.
Couple of weeks ago I pegged Purdue at 5-7 this year and that may be generous. I don't know what you consider "good defense" but that NW QB had plenty of time to throw all night long.
