Ever since COVID, I’ve been struggling with a pretty high level of chronic, unyielding pain…mostly in my feet and legs, but also (at a lower level) in my arms and hands.
I have difficulty standing for more than 5 minutes or so. I can’t walk more than a mile - and even that is tough. I can’t keep my shoes on very long. About the only exercise I can do is on a recumbent bike.
The list of doctors I’ve seen, in addition to my PCP, trying to figure this out:
3 neurologists
1 neurosurgeon
1 orthopedic surgeon
1 physiatrist
2 rheumatologists
1 cardiologist
1 pain specialist
I’ve had MRIs, CT scans, venous ultrasounds, nerve conduction studies, EMGs, PT, a muscle biopsy (which sucked)….
…nothing. All that I can do that has helped is wear a pain patch along with Naproxen and Tylenol.
My doctor and I both suspect it has something to do either with Covid or the vaccine. Two reasons: the timing of the onset and the inability to establish a diagnosis.
However, I never had a positive Covid test.
