Here's our roundup of IU basketball, football and recruiting news:

Jordan Wells / Basketball Beat & Recruiting News

Still nothing new to report with New Albany five-star guard Romeo Langford. He’ll participate in the Jordan Brand Classic on Sunday, the Nike Hoops Summit in Oregon the week after, and then comes the time to get serious about a decision. He’s supposed to visit IU one more time before making a choice.

I did catch up with Rivals national analyst Eric Bossi for his latest thoughts on Romeo, plus how he looked in McDonald’s All-American workouts and more. You can listen to that podcast here - https://indiana.rivals.com/news/recruiting-podcast-eric-bossi-on-romeo-langford

Other than Langford, IU continues to check in on potential grad transfer or junior college targets. No significant movement to report on that front yet.

From today through April 18 - with the exception of a dead period from April 9-12 - college coaches have their last chance to visit prospects and their families for in-homes until after July. So the IU staff is on the road visiting all their main targets.

Not too much to note there, but it should be noted they visited Center Grove four-star forward Trayce Jackson-Davis (6-9, 210 pounds, No. 28 player nationally) on the first day of the period. They’ve tried to make TJD feel like he’s a priority as much as they could, and this visit only reinforces that.

Purdue and UCLA also have in-homes scheduled with TJD, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Michigan State among others finds a way to get there too. Still, Hoosiers leaving no stone unturned in this recruitment. I think it’s safe to say TJD is a big, big target in this class.

Was fortunate to have the opportunity to attend the Indianapolis Press Screening for the ESPN 30 30 titled "The Last Days of Knight" on Wednesday night and found it very interesting.

For most of us, our knowledge of former Indiana head coach Bob Knight's dismissal is likely limited to what was reported in the late 1990s and early 2000s in newspapers and on television. While the film does touch on those original reports, it also takes us through the CNN reporter and producer's original reporting during that time as well.

The film also takes a deeper look at Neil Reed's life, and you may end up learning something about him that you didn't know previously.

Additional details can be found in my story from Thursday here: https://indiana.rivals.com/news/kni...oach-s-downfall-told-through-lens-of-reporter

"The Last Days of Knight" will premiere next Wednesday on ESPN+, ESPN's standalone on-demand streaming service. Vice President and Executive Producer of ESPN Films and Original Content John Dahl told me at the screening that ESPN+ will be offering a free trial so that users can try the service before they buy/pay $4.99 per month. So if you want to watch it for free, you can sign up for the free trial - just make sure to cancel before your trial ends.

In other former Hoosier news, former IU guards Victor Oladipo and Eric Gordon are among 35 players who will comprise the USA Men's National Team pool for 2018-20. They are expected to attend the July 25-27 USA Men's National Team minicamp in Las Vegas. Both have had terrific seasons so far and will be competing in the NBA playoffs this spring.

Perhaps the biggest news on the recruiting front this week was Arizona quarterback grad transfer Brandon Dawkins’ 2-day visit to IU last weekend. The quarterback said he liked the family feeling he had on the visit and also believes he can maximize his potential in an offense like IU’s coached by a staff that wants a dual-threat quarterback.

TheHoosier.com was also able to get in contact with other visitors from last weekend and during the week, as Georgia DB Nicolas Toomer, Texas CB Bobby Holmes, in-state LB Cam Williams and Alabama DL CJ Person all gave us feedback from their visits. Those stories are below.

I’ve also heard that Ohio OL Zach Carpenter and Pennsylvania DB Corey Thomas had good visits as well.

Also, freshman defensive lineman Juan Harris has transferred from Indiana to Iowa Western. Harris stated health issues in his tweet to the public, and he also has a history of waffling, as he committed and decommitted several times during his recruiting process as part of the 2017 class.

IU sent out a handful of offers this week, too. Those are listed below.

2019 Maryland DB Giovanni Biggers:
2019 Pennsylvania DB Jayvon Thrift:
2019 Florida WR Josh Delgado:
2020 Michigan LB Cornell Wheeler:
2020 Michigan QB Dustin Fletcher:
