The Border

We need legislation!

Out of whose rectum did 5K border encounters a day come from and why did Democrats not just do what Trump has done?

Why did they LIE to us that legislation was needed, when Trump has dropped encounters below 500/ day with no legislation? And why did they make a cynical campaign talking point out of it?

I have no use for these people.

That bipartisan bill codifying those numbers was the dumbest shit ever

I thought Presidents couldn’t do this? It’s amazing what a little bit of competence can do. Biden was a f#cking idiot. By the way, after the war ends and DOGE is finished, the country will be better off as well.

I couldn't agree more.

In fact, that bill wasn't just bad policy, it was bad politics. That's the sort of thing politicians could get away with 20 years ago -- have a list of provisions that are going to appeal to those voters who want the border better secured....and then throw in a tolerance level (an average of 5k encounters per day over a 7 day period) needed to trigger stricter enforcement.

In a bygone era, that part wouldn't have gotten much coverage. In today's era, it became a lightning rod. And you could tell that Lankford, Murphy, etal had no idea how to respond to it. In some cases, they even tried to deny it...or say that it wasn't what it looked like.

The smart move for Schumer and Biden, if they wanted to try to get out ahead of that issue, would've been for the Senate to pass the HR2 Secure the Border Act which had already passed the House. Dare Republican Senators to follow Trump's advice to oppose it.

It probably still wouldn't have gotten 60 votes. But it would've been smarter politics.

Spot on

You guys are so gullible it hurts. DOGE is a damn joke until it looks at healthcare, entitlements, and military spending. You guys are falling for i
The noise though. Wait until inflation really kicks in later this year.

Ukraine has weakened Russia and all its cost us is primarily outdated military equipment that would be replaced anyway. We've learned a lot about drone warfare and no American lives lost. But go ahead and side with Vlad.

Even Pence came out and called out Trump for his lies. It's sad it's come to this.

DOGE is going to cut a couple 100 billion from the budget, maybe more. This is great. The gullible ones are liberals complaining about it. Inflation isn’t going anywhere near 9% again, so not sure what you mean by really kicks in. That happened because Democrats passed trillions of new spending in 21.

Ending a war isn’t siding with Putin. This is the same stupid shit people said during the Iraq War. I miss the days when liberals were against fighting wars and protecting free speech. Those were two things the left were correct on.

With an admin that lies every other sentence and with loyalists in place, why should we trust these “leaked” stats?

Great if true though.
