I am stunned too especially given the beard hate l. Now crickets on golden. What happened to believe all women??

I don't know what was alleged originally with Golden, but I have a buddy who's an UF alum, and the story he told me is that Golden was fond of some coeds and was sending them inappropriate pics. He made it sound like TG paid off the girls to get out of it, so kept it out of the courts and legal systems. Don't think it was disputed, but that TG and his attorneys just made it go away.

Looked like the refs got together and decided they were going to stop letting them play physical and instead call it super tight in the 2nd half. Disappointing. Looked like Houston was getting ticky tacked and it gave Florida the sliver they needed.

See Duke / IU in 1992, Calbert's team. They (refs) fouled us out of the game in the second half. We were physically kicking their ass in the first half. Refs can play a massive role. Glad this year is over. Shitty year for IU. Better days ahead. Go Hoosiers!

When Houston got three quick fouls early in the second half, I knew the game was about to change. The refs decided at halftime to call it closer. Florida’s defense was smothering the last few minutes. The technical foul on the Houston player hurt, too, although only one free throw was made on the T.

It was a great game to watch. I’m glad I didn’t bail out early like I did for the Duke game, thinking they had it won.

As connected as Florida's D was, I doubt that would have made it any better. Almost every time they did drive late game they ended up turning the ball over.

Florida did a great job not allowing the ball handler any space off ball screens, off ball players covered the passing lanes and their rotations if they did get space were almost perfect. Houston took bad jump shots because that's all the defense was allowing them to take. When they did drive, Florida's help was always there.

Horrible spacing the majority of the game from Houston but some of the credit also goes to Florida's D. Houston playing a dinosaur offense with two bigs that can't shoot plays into that also.

Houston seemed to be rushing into those marginal shots all game. No discipline.

I actually really liked the final play call from Sampson, the Florida defense was just better. Understand wanting to go inside and get 2 with how good of an offensive rebounding team the Cougars are…but I think they felt confident in the final play call, as they should have, and Florida just out-defended the Xs and Os.

Too easy for me to say after the fact but Houston's spacing was horrendous last night, and Florida's help and recovery was excellent. The lane was not open. Probably been better off running a shooter off screens but Florida did a great job with that too.

If the kid shot faked it may have been a totally different outcome. And they tried driving the possession before that. FL defense was very good the 2nd half, if not the whole game.
