As connected as Florida's D was, I doubt that would have made it any better. Almost every time they did drive late game they ended up turning the ball over.
Florida did a great job not allowing the ball handler any space off ball screens, off ball players covered the passing lanes and their rotations if they did get space were almost perfect. Houston took bad jump shots because that's all the defense was allowing them to take. When they did drive, Florida's help was always there.
Horrible spacing the majority of the game from Houston but some of the credit also goes to Florida's D. Houston playing a dinosaur offense with two bigs that can't shoot plays into that also.
