Thanks Peacock

I don't understand the constant bitching about this team, then following up with I don't watch them. how do you know how bad they are if you don't watch the games? if you are totally apathetic towards the program why waste time posting on here? is it some sort of protest to quit watching?

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain......

I watch them but I'm also a glutton for punishment. It's a painful exercise.

I liken it to being in an abusive relationship. I badly want the program to do well so I keep turning it on only to get my heart ripped out again and called a fool to my face by Woodson! So, if life circumstances required that I not watch, I am cognitively aware that it would save me the future pain we're all constantly enduring.

It's just the TV deal the B1G signed so all the teams including IU get tons of media rights $. May as well get used to it.

Yep, that last game (Iowa), wifey looks at me and says "feel free to find something else on the TV" with about 10 minutes to go. I replied "no, we have to finish it".

this I agree with, I knew year 1 Woodson was a bad hire, but I've watched every game since then

I paid the black friday year deal for 🦚 just for the Indycar races, now that they moved to Fox, I’ve no need for it!

It is a form of virtue signaling, you know, saying they're so knowledgable they won't watch it.

No need to watch GAMES..'A" game is plenty of a sample.

Program sucks. Woodson sucks.

Period.

I'm like a person in an abusive relationship. I hate them, but I always run back to them when they are on. I might not enjoy the games, but I just lay there and take it🤪

If y'all aren't watching IU women's games or other Big Ten men's games on Peacock for what, $6 per month, then I question whether you're IU basketball fans or not.

I mean, it's almost like RMK knew we'd be here one day when back in 1988 he said (and I paraphrase), if it's inevitable, relax and enjoy it. I can't relax OR enjoy it. Brutal.

No offense, Kurt, but I don't get these kinds of posts. This is a community. Conversation amongst (mostly) friends. Of course people are going to talk about those kinds of things. I don't get what people don't get about that.

I understand that but how can you have a conversation on something you didn't watch

It’s like the scene in Clockwork Orange when his eyes are clamped open and he is forced to watch films. All fans are expected to watch IU games no matter the outrage, no matter the nausea, and finally. no matter the sadness. Start drinking early to kill the pain-that may be the method Kurt uses.

They need attention.

Luckily, in sports a score is kept & statistics are made available. In many cases, one who possesses a level of intelligence may make inferences about the games without watching. Some might even suggest looking at metrics & data may be more valuable than watching a game & telling a story about it.

Weird take. For me at least it's as I said: we play such uninspired, lazy and crappy bball, I just choose not to watch. I don't want to spend my time to get frustrated watching bad basketball. I keep an eye on scores and games so if they begin playing more to their capabilities then I'll watch. It's a form of saying I don't believe in our coaches and think what's going to have to happen is pretty evident.

Do you watch movies or just read the reviews?

I feel bad for not watching but I feel worse if I watch. I've watched a TON of bad IU bball over the last 20+ years and for this team, I don't see them turning it around and think ultimately we're on the road to a new coach, which gives me hope that we will play better ball with better results. Hope I'm wrong.
