Let’s look at who IU will have on the team next yr. I’ll start:

Cupps
Zrno- read today he was coming
Sisley

I’m gonna guess Rice, MR, and MM all return with a great hire. Pretty solid starting point for a good coach.

I also wonder if the right hire could flip Mullins? I mean UConn hasn’t been all that great and Hurley has shown some serious asshole moments

i like the way you are thinking. Cupps may want to move on and re-establish himself. then consider moving back up somewhere.
they should take a run at Mullins.
im hoping the new hire has some talent willing to move with the coach and fill in our gaps.

wouldn't bank on anyone returning until the new coach reveal is over.
Depending on who the new coach is, he could bring a couple stud players with him.
Just way too many questions answered right now.

Did read Zrno stays committed (and Sisley). No idea about Cupps...forgot he was on the team until I saw him in the handshake lineup after the game last night. Question what MM's future is. Our game winning run last night occurred with him on the bench. There is a pattern being established. Assume he'll wait until new coach is learned, maybe meet with him, before making any decisions.

No clue what MR is thinking. Hoping the same...wait and see. Rice could blossom with the right coach. Hope he takes same approach.
Tucker...who knows.

April and May will be busy. The coach reveal will happen quickly (my bet) as soon as the season is over. SD knows the portal will open up and IU's future has to be set when it does. NCAA first weekend ends Sunday March 23. Portal opens Monday March 24. I'm predicting new coach reveal between Mar 19-23 (unless this team somehow finds its way into the S16). 4-5 days earlier if we flame out and don't make the tourney.

I think most of the players will leave but with NIL, who knows. Not only was Mbako on the bench during the run against PS, but he also sat the entire 2nd half against PU, which is telling. Tucker is another player hard to read. Read on this board somewhere that he is being disciplined for not going to class or something which is very telling also since he is supposed to have over a 3.0 gpa in high school so sounds like he might be checking out

That Tucker stuff was just someone throwing shit against the wall. Don’t amplify that BS

I'd like to see Reneau and Carlyle explore their options. MR is an undersized 5 or limited-range 4; he fits neither position well. Moreover, he's foul prone and plays questionable defense. And Carlyle is, well, Carlyle.
