Gotta agree. I think he will step up big this year. This has to bug him and drive him.

It was local and in my opinion better than a typical Waffle House. Too bad it’s gone.

So many of the local breakfast joints everywhere are gone. Gobbled up by the chains, and real estate values, difficulty of running a business, the hours. Too bad, they're so often far better. Some of course fit the definition of a greasy spoon, but that's part of the charm.

In Nashville I had a guy from England who stopped me to ask, irate when the only breakfast joints anywhere near his hotel were chains. I wanted to tell him when you plan your own trip and pick a cheaper hotel further from downtown, all you get is the shit that builds along highways, i.e. truck stops and chain eateries, and there was no truck stop there.
