Just some notes for the final day of the spring evaluation period.

Got up early today 8 a.m. to catch a game at the Best of the Best in Lexington where Malik Williams and his legit basketball team took on a talented Showtime Ballers from Florida team for 3rd place in that event's 16U division.

Game went to overtime and Legit prevailed. Williams let all scores with 25 points. Afterward he spoke to us and indicated that Indiana and Toledo where his only offers at this point. The 6-foot-11 Williams showed his shotblocking ability and that is probably is best asset back right now. Showed his reliable mid-range shot and just needs another 20 to 30 pounds of muscle to help him finish inside.

Indiana coach Tim Buckley was there watching Williams and from our vantage point was the only college coach that made that trip over to the Lexington Ice Center.

From there I headed over to EYBL also in Lexington. For the early 9:30 am session Coach Buckley got situated where he could watch games involving Nick Ward, Curtis Jones, Lamar Stevens, and Tony Carr among others.

In the next session after that Buckley was able to catch another game of Bruce Brown of BABC. Brown did not have one of its better games but had a terrific Saturday in Lexington and continues to be near the top of the priority list in our opinion. Stevens and Carr were also watched on adjacent court and had nice games today in a bounce back win after a tough loss last night against Ward and All Ohio Red.

Next made the short drive to Louisville where Indiana head coach Tom Crean finished off his weekend. He was joined there at that Under Armour event by Rob Judson. Both stayed to the end to watch the Indy Hoosiers team (Scruggs, Wilkes, Gunn, etc.) win over KC Run GMC. Earlier in the morning coach Crean was there to watch the older Indy Hoosiers team featuring Joey Brunk.

Jeff was in Indianapolis for the final day of action at the adidas event there and we'll have more later but just wanted to pass along a quick recap of what went down today.

There are some newer names on the radar that we'll pass along soon including some guys with size.

The next coach eval period is not until July but we will be out next weekend in Fort Wayne as some of the top Midwest teams will be a the Run N Slam there and it is always a good chance watch some of the younger talent in Indiana.

We'll have more in-depth wrap ups and then hit you with the usual features and scouting videos from the weekend travels.
