This is my reaction after viewing the WKU pregame presser with Nate Sudfeld. Nate Sudfeld could be an Indiana farm boy. Except he's a California farm boy. Modesto, California is farm country. (Ten years ago I would drive up there to Modesto (3 hrs.) just to buy organic chicken feed in bulk.)
But the way he carries himself, he could just as well be from Seymour or Columbus or Bloomington or Fort Wayne or .... you guys are more in tune with powerhouse farm boy football in Indiana than me (which has changed dramatically over the past 30 years with the Colts presence).
But getting back to Nate, I just love what he brings to IU football and athletics. I love his presence both in interviews and on the playing field. In my opinion, he's the most important link, in so many ways, in bringing IU to a bowl bid and "getting us over the hump" .... not just in football, but in all IU Athletics. This is a very modest, but very competitive player. You can see it in his eyes. Let's enjoy him, while he's here.
