IMO guards attacking the basket, causing them to foul us would be an effective strategy. Hartman playing away from the basket should bring one of the bigs out. Both teams will have some match-up problems.

I think you are right. The best offensive strategy for IU would be to drive into the lane early in the game and try to draw fouls. That might pull the outside defense into the paint and allow kick outs to open shooters.Originally posted by HoosierRon:

Playing them together is a terrible idea; especially against IU where one of them would have to guard a vastly quicker player. They foul too much to play together.Originally posted by boilerjrut3:
Painter is wasting a huge advantage by playing Haas and Hammons at the same time. I'm not saying they should play together a lot, as Haas especially gets in foul trouble, but it could be a huge advantage for 1-3 minutes at a time. Purdue has yet to show this lineup yet, so how would someone prepare for yet? As a Purdue fan, this matchup scares me. Is this the game Painter throws in the new wrinkle? Doubtful.
Do you think Hammons/Haas will be able to hold their own or do you think Painter will try and go smaller and matchup with IU?Originally posted by Purdue4Life:
