Yes, when IU is relevant, there is more suspense and all the game seem to mean more.

How did he come to know Woodson so well? Did they become friends at some point?
His brother played briefly for IU the year after Woody graduated.
Yes. Craig Bardo lasted only the first semester at IU in the ‘80-‘81 season. Not sure, but don’t think he even made the fateful Holiday trip to Hawaii, where they lost to Pan American and Clemson. Gotta imagine he regretted not hanging on at least for the 2nd semester,
right?
In one of the more interesting transfer paths you will ever see, he first went to Bradley, dropped out of there without playing, then enlisted in the Navy for 2-3 years. After his discharge from the Navy, he played 3 seasons at The Citadel.
